@Marco
The Gap problem of the Vegas Pro 16 is that it closes all empty spaces on the selected track. Often the publisher does not want this. It would be best to just close the selected events.

But that works here. Select two Events with an empty space between those Events - and you can close only this one empty space. At least I remember that I have seen that in my Tests some time ago.

Can you guys try to right click the volume output meter in V16? Mine is not working to adjust the dB meter to desired level. Tried it with V15 and I can change it (maybe it's just me)

@Wolfgang S. @j-v

I was wrong. The new feature GAP works fine. I was selecting events and clicking on an area with space.I was clicking the wrong place. Thank you!

Will be amazing if you can "pin" Video track on a motiontrack, then we can make amazing effects!

Former users wrote on 9/4/2018, 7:28 AM

This update was great. But the new Feature Vegas Video Stabilization feature still has issues and needs improvement. Here for example after the analysis the image always jumps at some random points. This has never happened to the old Vegas Stabilize.

Do I have to pay an upgrade price for Vegas 16 after not being able to use vegas 15 this whole time? Tell me no?

Considering the vast majority of us have been using 15 for the past year, I'd say yes.

Hey guys! Anyone else have same issue with slow GUI while moving events on a timeline? Same project in VP15 works like a charm. Have to return back to VP15((((

Do you found this when 'Event Pan/Crop' windows opened? if it is, try closing that 'event Pan/Crop' and try move the event clips again.

No, all windows are closed. Just a big project with 300+ files in it. If I remove all videos from the timeline but keep them in project it is still stuttering while dragging an event. It even slower than VP15 with 500+ videos in it with only one event in a project. Maybe this is because of new high DPI scaling option but I turn it off.

UPD.: But if "Project Media" window is closed everything works much much faster. Seems this bug because of new feature in project media window.... (((((

So please confirm and add this case to "known issues". - Add 300-500 events and try to move event with opened project media tab.

After the update 1 the Render Templates are gone ????? Wher is my favorite Magix AVC/AAC MP4???

After updateBefore update

I removed and reinstalled VP15 and VP16 and that helped. Apparently something went wrong with the installation. But each time i start VP16 the render template, pic 1, apears. Starting from the SampleProject i get de render templates from pic 2.?

After four days of installing and uninstalling, I find out what caused the render problem. After removing the Plug-Ins from New Blue one by one (also from Hitfilm and Ignite), I found out that the New Blue effects delivered with VP 14 and VP15 frustrated the startup of VP16 or started well with the right render templates and later restart with the correct render templates. After removing these New Blue Plug ins which also worked in VP14 and VP15 and the repeated removal and reinstallation of VP16. VP16 finally started up well after four days with the correct render templates that also worked. It remains a strange story that it worked at VP14 and VP15 and apparently frustrates the correct start in VP16. Thanks for thinking along.

Marco. wrote on 9/4/2018, 12:18 PM

See the hamburger track menu. These options are hidden there and can be set to be seen permanently.

DeTomasi wrote on 9/4/2018, 12:40 PM

Your track headers are not wide enough to display the Parent Motion and Parent Composite Mode buttons. Either widen the width of the header area or hide some of the buttons you do not use very often.

Same here.
I reported this issue here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/bug-report-in-vegas-pro-16-0-248-events-moving--112754/

Also I reported problem with nested project here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/bug-report-in-vegas-pro-16-0-248-nested-project--112738/
and this bug not fixed in this version.

And I have a another problem with advanced save utility here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-16-0-248-advanced-save-utility--112756/
where I can't save backup in the project folder.

MAGIX team, please fix this problems in the next update tool.

Thank you.

Well, it's not going well so far, both the initial Vegas Pro 16 release and Update 1 simply crash when trying to open the application! So, I'm still yet to get the application to open. I have submitted the crash reports of course, but don't know what's causing it (maybe some incompatibility with previously installed plug-ins from Vegas 14 & 15 usage, but I simply don't know. Not good. Anyone else unable to open the application without it crashing before opening? Any solutions?

set wrote on 9/5/2018, 5:18 AM

If possible plug-in is the problem, you can try experiment move FXs from this folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX

to other outside folder such as make new folder like :

'C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX - OFF'
