@Lukasz You need to give a lot more detail than that to get any help.
Your PC specs in full (fill in your profile (click on your avatar at the top right) Have you just installed Win 11? Does it just not start to launch? If it does start to launch, where does it stop? Does it hang or does it just disappear? When it fails, are there any remnants of the program remaining? Use task manager to find out. Etc, etc. In other words, as much info as you can give.
Windows is working properly. The only problem I have is starting Vegas. I have to double click on the vegas icon. Then I go to the task manager and click finish task. Only then will vegas start. The first time nothing shows up. He doesn't react.
I just tried to start VEGAS Pro 18 on my Win11 machine. After 2 minutes of seeing nothing, I went into the Task Manager and killed the VEGAS Pro 18 process. I then tried starting it again and it started right up.
VEGAS Pro 19, 20, and 21 all open fine the first try.
Not sure what caused 18 to not open on the first try...
I remember when I did a new Windows installation I saw a (Windows) warning that when programs stopped working properly, they needed to be reinstalled. Have you done that too?

Having to close any Vegas Pro items under the Task Manager's 'background processes' occurred to me many times using both Windows 10 and then 11. But then that problem also existed with Sound Forge Pro 15 and 16, iZotope's Product Portal (including this week) as well as with Microsoft's own Outlook program, the last two programs being unrelated to MAGIX/Vegas products.
Thankfully, it doesn't seem to be a current problem with Vegas Pro 20 or 21 or with Sound Forge Pro 16 or Outlook any more.
If you have System Restore activated in Windows 11 (which is highly recommended), try restoring Windows 11 to an earlier restore point where hopefully Vegas Pro 18 can be uninstalled and then re-installed again. I'd recommend Vegas Pro's clean uninstall process but if VP18 can't first be uninstalled via Windows 11's 'Installed Apps', that clean uninstall process likely wouldn't work.
Another option may, unfortunately, mean having to run Windows 'Repair' procedure which will result in having to re-install all apps on your computer - it's much like a Windows re-install process. If it comes to this, there's possibly some corruption on your computer between the OS and Vegas Pro - it may or may not be caused by Vegas Pro 18 so the easy approach of ascribing blame to Vegas Pro 18 may possibly be misplaced.
Why doesn't magix fix this as usual when many users experience this?
Please explain how Magix is responsible for the same Task Manager problem occurring with non-MAGIX/Vegas programs such as iZoTope's Product Portal and Microsoft's Outlook? It looks much more like a Windows issue. And I'm sure that it also occurred years ago with Corel's PaintShop Pro.

I can't restore Windows. Magix is guilty because it doesn't fix vegas and doesn't cooperate to help other users. The problem has been known for years and other versions of Vegas have also had problems with it. I'm fed up with this company. I've been used to Vegas for years and that's why it's hard for me to change the system. This is unacceptable. Magix should cooperate with Microsoft and provide a solution or release a Vegas patch.
The issue with 19 and 20 was a totally separate problem. It had to do with DLLs that "expired" on a certain date and needed to be updated. Those DLLs were not in the previous versions (such as 18) so you're looking at two totally separate things. Your problem is not at all related to the other thread you posted in.

I'm looking for information. The problem is the same as mine. I don't know anything about coding. Magix should fix it or give me a solution to the problem. Vegas has been struggling with constant problems for years.
Looking at your 4 previous posts on the forum over the years, two of them show an antagonistic and somewhat derisive opinion of Magix/Vegas Pro. A common trait of your comments on other threads often follows the same negativity.
Perhaps you really should find another NLE where hopefully you can find editing bliss and only find the need to populate that NLE's forum with constructive comments.

Sorry for my negative attitude but no one has ever solved my technical problems. You expect a positive opinion about magix, but it has been making the same mistakes for years. I've been using vegas since version 13 and it's still the same. Now there are more problems. The only thing I heard was to turn off the GPU. I've had several graphics cards over the years and it was always the same. The annoying thing is that I paid for a product that doesn't work well. For years, Magix did not fix the old errors and released a new version and made people pay for it. There are a lot of problems on the forum that have affected users over the years. Has anyone done anything about it? You analyze my posts as if I were a troll who wants to harm the magix company. Well, no. I need real and substantive help. I waste my time searching for a solution for hours instead of working. Irritation reaches its zenith. Now I can't uninstall the program. Another problem. Why have I never had any problems with other programs only vegas?
@Lukasz, the current version is 21. I can guarantee you that you won't see a new release of version 18. Your "problem" would probably be gone if you upgraded to 21. You can download and install the 21 trial and see.

I'm sorry, but I cured myself of this way of thinking after many years. When I bought subsequent versions, nothing much changed. The same program freeze crashes.
As everyone else that has VP18 and Win11 have posted, it is working on my computer too. If it's working on everyone else's computer that replied, then I would have to say that there is an issue with something on your computer.
When I decided to go Win11 (Pro), I bought a new NVME 1TB for a system drive. Installed a fresh installation (not an overwrite update of Win10), and have never had any issues such as yours with Vegas 18, 19, 20, and now 21. I also have installed plugins such as Boris FX Continuum Complete 2023.5, NBFX TFX 360, Sapphire units, Ignite Pro 5, and other specific Vegas plugins. Everything works.
All versions of Vegas need to call home periodically for a license check. I think something's flaky about that process. Because I often have to kill Vegas in task manager the 1st time I run an older, less used version. Even vp21 does this on machines I don't use much. But vp21 usually starts up without a task manager kill if I wait long enough. In my experience infrequently used vp20 back to vp16 have to be killed the 1st time. Only thing I see unusual in this case is vp18 behaving that way all the time. Might be something interfering with the initial license check. Like firewall, anti-virus, routing, or dns issues. Or the wi-fi itself might need some priming, like doing a windows update check after the machine is 1st booted up.... that's indicative of out of date chipset firmware and drivers.
