The one thing I want to see is Vegas be stable.

I've lost count the amount of times I keep wasting using the program.

Support helped me at least to get it running again providing I am in the Administration profile.

I tried Smart Mask 2 and Vegas crashed.

I wanted to do Motion tracking but it can't find the effect.

I've had to resort to using Camtasia just to get some videos done.

It's not computer related as I have run Vegas on a computer that is consider at the top of the list of powerful computers. I was trying to get a friend to consider using it instead of Adobe Premier but while showing him its features on this powerful computer it crashed!

Needless to say he's not interested.

There is one person who is a moderator who treats Magix customer less than respectful. If they don't like your comment you get threatened with sanctions. I think the power has gone to there head. lol.

The reason I persist with Vegas is I spent good money on it. I also find it easier to use than other programs.

I love the fact that they have removed the subscription on some things. I hope they do that for Mocha too.

There are no moderators here that threaten anyone "not liking their comment", the only threats given out are for violating the community rules, which are spelled out clearly here. Read them carefully. If you can't abide by them, then you will get such actions taken against your account. This is true on any forum or social media network.

As for Mocha, don't expect that one to be free, unless you want the price of VEGAS to go up to cover the cost they have to pay to include Mocha as part of VEGAS. It isn't developed by Magix, so royalties have to be paid to use it.

Yeah & most professional user don't use Vegas, Vegas is sold as a pro product but is sold to the general public, I bet Vegas's main income is from the general public wanting 'a bit more' from their consumer editing software or to pro/semi-pro enthusiasts. So I do hope the improvements you're seeing are across the board AVC, HEVC, 8BIT, 10BIT ETC..

PS, I mentioned Vegas to a friend who works in the editing department of the BBC, he laughed in my face.

The BBC love repeatedly showing Terry Abraham's Life of a Mountain films and will also broadcast his Cumbrian Red film, all of which were edited with Vegas.

Ran my old AI Torture Test on the new vp21 release and got mixed results compared to vp20. But got a 20% performance boost on Upscale FX which I use quite often in my projects to tweak camera zoom in spots to better frame subjects.

Not sure what's up with Colorization FX but I've never done a project where I needed that. The Hiker version I tested here also showed a 32% increase rendering with no FX... this represents an improvement decoding and rendering the base-video which is a 4K Avc clip that I found on the Vegas Hub. Interesting that colorize takes longer... I wonder if that tradeoff means it is more accurate now?

@fr0sty That was my hope, slower but doesn't have the same problems as previous, for example putting red everywhere where it doesn't belong on high quality mode. As far as color accuracy nothing has changed that I can see.

Well I woke up today to an upgrade. Thought "Cool" and initiated it. My previous 21 version was deleted and replaced with the upgrade. Restarted it and twice now it loaded, I started up my project from the previous version of 21, it loaded, did some work on audio. And now when I hit play it freezes. Twice I have let it run and it just runs the hour clock and tells me not responding. Sit here for 10 minutes twice and it hasn't resolved. Anyone else having issues with the upgrade?

Ok update after posting above. I restarted the computer, then restarted the 21.3 update and now I can get it to start when I press play. So apparently not only a download, update, restarted update was needed but I needed a complete computer shut down and restart.

Just in case someone has a similar issue this is what I did to solve it.

@Douglas-McCarron Could you create a new thread with your details and any hints about what's wrong here? Is it particular Fx that are failing? Haven't seen many reports of this.

I did not find the AV1 GPU support self-explanatory. Is this for decoding, or encoding? I recently jumped from VP16 to 21 so I'm unaware what's already supported before now (and unable to test as build 300 does not work on my system), but I am interested because I have recently acquired a GPU with an AV1 encoder.

Ok will do. I sent a message to support and am waiting for a response. If they give an answer that works I will post that in a new thread along with this information.
