video does not display correctly in vegas15, displays correctly in 14

Hello,

Video displays correctly in vegas14 but not vegas15. This is preview window. no plugins/filters

The video is live stream broadcast from samsung galaxy8 using

Which plugin are VP14 and 15 using to decode the file (see Vegas File Properties instructions in this post)?

What GPU?

Is GPU acceleration of video processing on or off?

Hi, it's another fault with the so4compoundplug.dll hardware decoder

I turned it off in accordance with your instructions and now it displays fine.

Any chance of sharing a representative sample (e.g. on Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, mega.nz, wetransfer.com or mediafire.com) that I can link the developers to? This could well be a format that they haven't seen yet.

yeah it happend to me recently with faulty audio ,sometimes video is fine but audio is cranky

Thanks. This file plays OK for me in VP15 build 216 with so4compoundplug.dll and with compoundplug.dll. I also tried GPU acceleration on and off (AMD Radeon HD 6970).

Was this clip recorded on the actual streamer's phone or a receiving device? Was it a Galaxy S8?

Do you see those lines all the way through this clip that you've shared?

What GPU do you have?

Yes a galaxy S8 using Bitstream software

The video is streamed from the phone to server. Not recorded on phone. The video is not re-encoded on server it's what is created by bitstream livestreaming app. I have nvidia gtx1070. I see the lack of colour in image and the lines with & without gpu acceleration turned on

To SET asking about the clicks. I should have better described that problem was video (vision) related as I know there is a clicking audio problem with decoder also. Clicking is keyboard input clicks

It's Intel HD Grafics 520 here, driver 22.20.16.

nVIDIA DRIVER 381.65nvidia, but I did try vegas with no graphics driver & intel gpu530 in acceleration box, and I got same result.

So it looks like the issue is present if Nvidia or Intel graphics are running the Vegas GUI, but no problem with AMD. Anyone disagree with that?

The VEGAS Pro 15 build 311 release notes state "Video form the Samsung Galaxy S8 is now properly decoded through Intel QSV decoder". Those affected by this issue, please test let us know if it's solved.
