Przejdź do katalogu, Pliki programów, otwórz „Common Files” i poszukaj OFX. Zmień nazwę na OFX.old

Teraz zainstaluj VEGAS PRO 18.

Jeśli ładuje się dobrze, usuń OFX.old i po prostu zainstaluj ponownie swoje wtyczki (zakładając, że może zmienić się do VEGAS PRO 18, ponieważ ma zaledwie kilka dni)

unfortunately it doesn't work either

The only thing left is to format the computer to 0 and see if Vegas 18 installs. I will let you know if it was successful

I don't know what to do anymore, I put the new win system 10 2004 again and vegas 18 still does not start

We still have not seen any error reports come to our server with your specific information attached to them. We are aware of a crash on startup that has been frequently reported. If your issue is the same crash as the others in the error report database, then the first thing to try is updating the Intel GPU driver on your machine. If that is not possible (either because of an OEM restriction or because the GPU is too old), then we suggest renaming the So4Reader.dll inside C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 18.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\so4compoundplug to something else (such as "_So4Reader.dll"); that should allow your to startup VEGAS and use it, but with hardware acceleration disabled.

Maybe worth a shot: delete everything from C/users/name/AppData/Local/VegasPro/18

See if it starts.

Unfortunately, that didn't help either

Sorry to hear that.

It seems to me that I mean the hardware configuration, but on the other hand I am surprised because it works on another 10-year-old laptop. My laptop is a Lenovo t530 and vegas won't boot on it even after formatting the drives

klapkowscy.com wrote on 8/6/2020, 4:58 PM

Unfortunately, after 3 days of fighting and even reformatting the C drive and reinstalling everything without any additions. Vegas 18 doesn't work. It installs ok but does not start. I hope the next update will be correct. So far you have to go back to Vegas 17. It's strange that on my old laptop HP Pavilion DV6 where there is only 4GB of RAM and a much weaker processor than the one on which I'm trying to run Vegas 18, ie Lenovo T530 with i7 and 32GB RAM, the program doesn't work. It disappointed me terribly.

I have disabled hardware acceleration as suggested by VEGASDereck by renaming So4Reader.dll and Vegas Pro 18 will now load and run. My Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 card and NVIDIA Ge Force GT 650M both have the latest drivers and operate fine in VP17 so I don't know whether the VP18 now regards this hardware as 'too old'.

I upgraded from Vegas 17 to Vegas 18 and it does not load. I have the latest drivers and upgrades on my machine but it stops loading a the creating video plugin factory and just stops. I've tried almost everything and still can not get it to load.

Missy-Willis wrote on 8/8/2020, 2:15 PM

Renaming the file did not work for me.

Missy-Willis wrote on 8/8/2020, 2:23 PM

I let it sit in this state for about 15 minutes and it finally just loaded. Not sure what is happening with 18 but I'm glad it finally loaded.

I'm having the same problem after just purchasing Vegas 18 (which is very disappointing). Updating my Intel 4000 graphics driver to the latest version did not stop the crash on startup, but renaming the So4Reader.dll file did as was suggested here. But I didn't like the idea of losing hardware acceleration, so instead I decided to try disabling the Intel graphics driver in Windows device manager (I don't use the Intel display anyway because I have an Nvidia Quadro card) - lo and behold Vegas 18 starts now without crashing while using the current version of So4Reader.dll. Hope this solution helps others until Magix gets the problem fixed.

The VEGAS Pro 18.0 build 334 release notes state:

"Fixed crash on startup related to some Intel GPU drivers"

For those who were suffering this issue, does the update resolve it?

I think it's ok. But I don't know if it is the fault of the fact that after the great adventures it was possible to launch the first version or it just started because the bug was fixed

In my case (Intel + Nvidia) VP18 now appears to operate properly provided I disable my Intel driver before startup and only use my Nvidia chip.

Vegas Pro 18 Upgrade Build 334
is a disaster for me. It crashes constantly. I could barely go 2 minutes playing video before it would crash.

I ran the Windows 10 Compatibility Trouble Shooter and it comes up and says the program is incompatible. Suggests using Windows 8 settings. It works better but still crashes after about 15 to 20 minutes.

I'm running Windows 10 with AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, the GeForce Nvidia RTX2070 Super and the updated studio drivers (v. 456.38)

Fortunately, I do not crash at all, but I have one problem with playing the c files of the Osmo Action camera. I have to run them through Handbreake first

michael-dutka wrote on 9/27/2020, 5:39 PM

I have already removed plugins, uninstalled and does not start

Plugins aren't exactly famous for clean uninstallation, espicially OFX. They're kind of like ADOBE, always leaving residue behind. As such, the VEGAS Team (not MAGIX) have nothing to do with it.

Go to the directory, Program Files and open "Common Files" and look for OFX. Rename it to OFX.old

Now attempt to Install VEGAS PRO 18.

If it loads fine, delete OFX.old and simply reinstall your plugins (assuming they can adapt to VEGAS PRO 18 since its barely a few days old)

I am following this thread as i am going through the same thing...i tried this without any change in the loading behavior.i have reinstalled pro 17 and that works fine...just can't get pro 18 to open.
