Opening a program is something else than using an option in a program as Hardware acceleration in Vegas for f.i. video effects.

I have a "ghosting" issue and I cannot seem to figure out what is causing it. Last couple of renders on different projects had specific clips "ghost", that is, you can see a background image from another clip on a lower track. Even after I dragged the exact clip down after deleting the bottom segment, the ghosting is still there! Not seen during review during editing at all, only on the final render cut. Help! I've left out settings hoping its a simple "oh, I've had that happen to me..." issue. Thanks and Happy New Year!

I found an issue with mullticam editing - when you scroll the timeline, the edits change to being made at the cursor position, rather than the play head position. This means edits are not made where you're watching in time, but rather where you last clicked on the timeline.

I posted here, and also mentioned another issue where pressing the numbers does not actually make an edit in multicam, but that issue I have not figured out yet.

Yes, this is the way it works... in order to 'reposition' your 'cursor position' to be 'sync' with 'playhead position', press . (dot) / Del of your numkeypad.

Post is a motion graphics and effects app called Vegas Effects that is similar to Adobe After Effects (better in some ways, you'd have to augment AE with thousands of dollars worth of plugins to do what VE does out of the box), and is the same as Hitfilm Pro (developed by the same company), but it directly works with Vegas so no rendering is required to send video into VE, add effects to it, then send it back into VP to be further edited and rendered. It also comes with an image editing app called Vegas Image.

 

I find that extremely hard to believe.

While hitfilm pro might have a few things tweaked for specific stuff and barebones 3d capabilities i would still argue that at the end of the day when pitted against each other on capabilities Ae would still stand as a winner.

Though none of it matters because of fusion and nuke.

Still no joy for my i7700 & AMD (rx480 8 gig) card for screen capture. The AMD screen capture utility works perfectly with my HDMI 4K screen. All I get is a black square with the image of the cursor in a small black square.

The features that I would like to see in the future are:
1. that in the media tab the project will be shown in the thumbnails of shots that have already been applied on the timeline.
2. so that in the transitions and video effects tab you can create something like rating a given effect or starring your favorite effects and transitions.

It is not difficult to do, but it will certainly help and speed up the work.

To filter your favorite effects is already possible with the plugin chooser.

I would prefer a similar possibility with transitions.

In the media tab I would prefer the possibility to sort your media with following criteria's: recording date, file used, filename, duration, filesize etc.

Should work... Open the Fx-List, Click on folder Fx on the left, then the icon "New folder" should be seen active on the right side (maybe you have to expand the window to see), click and create your favorites-folder

By mistake I created a faforites-folder under "32 bit floating point" and assigned a media effect into this folder. Now I can't get it away. Does anyone know advice?

?? Maybe I misunderstand, but Mark that folder end click X (=delete folder) on the right side.

@klapkowscy.com There is a Plug-In Manager that you can select via View> Windows> Plug-In Manager. You can create folders here. This is a great way to keep your own favourites together.
