Vegas Pro 19 crashing and corrupting files

@j-v Sir. All the source files are categorized in folders. (Audio, footage, fxs, etc). Im not new to editing.

Pretend you're us, having downloaded your project from Google drive, try opening your.veg project files. Most of your media isn't there, including the quicktime files which I think is your main complaint

@RogerS The footage is being uploaded now. It is about 20 gbs. I deleted the plugin once I received the error. After deleting this error, it was followed by more plug in errors. I contacted Boris and they said it was a Vegas issue... So the circle begins. I always use markers. without any glitches or issues. The program began crashing when I copied pasted, or control + z to undo. I was already rendering, so I was not using anymore markers. Those are created in the beginning of my process. Yes you can open the projects but they don't work. There are glitches every where with the lines, nothing functions and you cannot see any of the film. I have tried copying and pasting the projects into new vegas projects and the glitch gets pasted with it as well...

@Former userThe footage is being uploaded now. It is about 20 gbs. I don't have any quicktime files because everything was shot with my canon 6D in 1080 24fps

Honestly, that's too much- I can't download 20GB. Can you create a simpler project or subproject (just 30 sec. of this project and delete the rest) and include whatever audio and video and graphics you use and see if it corrupts.

Some of your corrupted projects freeze my Vegas but the one I mentioned actually was fine. No glitches, no lines. (Of course there is no footage though, so who knows).

@RogerS The files in the corrupted folder are the files that are crashing. There are no simpler projects because these files are all variations from an original that was and is not corrupt. I have not been able to work on any other projects after this... This is it. Everything is in the folder. I cannot copy and paste any of these into new projects because some how the "glitch" blue screen , blue lines everywhere" is also copied and pasted... Vegas 17 is now crashing as well. I have no idea at this point but going with alternative software.

@Former user Everything is there.

RogerS wrote on 11/2/2021, 7:18 AM

Okay, so if I download the footage and stills folder it will have all the files?

This issue is not unique to me. Others have this problem as well , but yet there is no concrete solution.

Winstead-BarnesJr wrote on 11/2/2021, 7:28 AM

@RogerS Yes Everything should be there. I have not used any stills in this project. That is just a template folder for my organization and flow.

RogerS wrote on 11/2/2021, 7:31 AM

I'll try to download... this might take a while. If you are in contact with support I suggest also sharing this link to the Google Drive with them so they can see the corrupted projects, too.

Have you checked your spam folder? - this is unusual!

There still seem to be many missing files. I don't know if they are used in your video or not but the png and others aren't here. They are all in various folders on your external drive. It's going to be difficult to find the files even if they were here as it's unclear what folder they are in and the folder/file names you have are long so we can only see part.

To share files you really want to copy everything to one place first and make sure Vegas can find them, then zip it up. Here I have to specify replacement files for everything and that's not reasonable (esp. when many are missing).

It might work better to go to export an archive and exclude unused files.

The Canon 6D files on the timeline worked fine. I did HD 24p and then added the 60fps footage at project framerate. I copied and pasted them while playing, undid edits, and didn't get it to crash. Of course I don't have Sapphire and didn't do any Fx.

@Winstead-BarnesJr
Do you have an acquaintance who is more familiar with PC things and can support you in providing the right information?
@RogerS is trying very hard, but I think he is not getting the right information from you:

@RogerS The only thing missing are the fxs. the one png used is not necessary. Question. When you open the corrupted files, are you seeing the blue screen and lines. I am going to show you exactly what I get. The folder file names are Audio, Behind The Scenes, Corrupted Projects, Effects, Footage, GFX, Stills, Baxs, SFks. I am not sure by what you mean long. All the corrupted VEGs are in the Corrupted Projects folder. Everything is within this Entire. Anything missing is not essential because it has been deleted or is not used. The files are all variations of the same file but at various saving points because of the corruption. Tell me what you see when you open (Santos Lara Commercial 8 Interview 1 minute D updated) This is what I see.
