when i put gen 5 video files(dats blackmagic raw) in vegas 19 the video turns black and cant see anything in the video..can anyone help me with this issue.

Devices not appearing is something that started happening under the later Win10 updates, because Microsoft, in it's infinite wisdom, will reassign the ports when you unplug and plugin a device or sometimes when you restart your computer. Used to be it would be assigned a port address the first time you plugged it in, and then that address was held in reserve for the next time you used it.

This has happened with game controllers and a permanent assignment has to be done in the game's ini file to prevent this from happening. Basically it finds the device and assigns it back to the same address.

Would there be a way to get Vegas to do this?

Only thoughts are dynamic ram needs an overhaul or removal; this has been a recurrent issue for years.

Just tried it. It ran, but checking under "license" it still showed expiring 11/21/2021. I did the activation again and after entering the serial number and restarting Vegas the license now reads "permanent" ... Yipppeeee ...

Thanks, I didn't bother registering it when I saw the expiration date. Never occurred to me that was the trial period for an unregistered copy. DOH!!!😜

janndk, What would the confusion be about that ad?. It is clearly written saying those features comes with subscription... And Len, i understand your point, but its also written clearly saying royalty free stock content is the one that comes with subscription.

 

Seems that quite a lot of people have misunderstood Vegas' ads. Ignoring the problem doesn't solve it.

Definitely not, perhaps having separate "perpetual license" and "subscription license" columns on the feature list would present it in a way that everyone could understand, vs. all of it being on the same list.

...I think those that are having the problems differentiating between perpetual and subscription aren't taking the time to actually read what is in front of them. The 2 examples were quite clear to me that certain features are for the subscription that you do not get in the perpetual.

janndk, No one is ignoring any problem, because there is none! Whomever is misunderstanding these ads are probably just not taking the time to read them properly.... fr0sty mentions that having separate "perpetual license" and "subscription license" columns would probably be a better idea, ok i agree it probably would, but here is the kicker, there still would be a complaint just like the one you are making now!

So, if you need help on the subject, then open a separate thread and describe exactly what problems you are having - you can also upload a sample clip, then others can try to stabilise the clip and perhaps find better settings.

Complaining every time doesn't help at all - especially when Vegas hasn't announced that they've made any improvements to the stabiliser.

So you installed an app that didn't advertise any improvements to a feature you demanded, then got mad it didn't have improvements to that feature it never advertised, and now you're complaining about it... This is a user support forum. If you have a problem, make a thread, we'll try to help you find a workaround. If you're here to complain, just posting to blow off steam without any desire to get help with your issue is against the community rules.

Not sure if others have had this problem, but as per the Boris FX Primate Studio addon video that states: that is is available for Vegas Pro 19 and Vegas Post. When I open VP I see the addon but selecting it causes VP to crash.

Any body else had this issue??

@Cmin7669 you have to give far more information than you have already given. What are your computer hardware specs? Make and model of CPU, GPU (if used), the amount of RAM you have, and what operating system? All this information should be in your user profile since this is common information that anyone would need to start to help.

Do you have any other BorisFX? I know is Vegas Pro 19 (trial) I can open Primatte with no crashes (I have full Continuum 2021).

And.... it's best to start your own post about this. This is a "General" discussion thread.

Please start your own post regarding your .mov problem. But before doing so, please do a forum search because .mov issues with Vegas Pro have been addressed many times on the forum over the years.
