@sageskye

I think you have to allow in Windows security a 3th party to install programs.

Haven't had time to play around with it much because I just found out about it, really should notify VP18 365 users about this but more importantly, really MAGIX!? Another major version release and no VST3 support yet???

@VEGASPascal

In the last 3 or 4 months a big group of beta users was involved to report everything they find to the developers.

This is sad that the big group of beta testers was unable to notice issue with two out of four colour themes where status of filters (enable/disable) is not visible in UI at all.

@fifonik The beta testers made a good job but the story behind is a litte bit bigger. We thought about supporting only 2 colour schemes. We discussed it and finally decided on 4 schemes. The upcoming update will fix those bugs and will support better reading in the UI.

Once again... thanks to the beta testers for their excellent job.

fifonik, Who told you that the beta testers didn't notice that? See the response given to you by VEGASPascal.... Stop making statements you know nothing of and being condescending to others!

First day using V19 - long term vegas user. I went for the subscription option - seemed great value for access to a large stock library. Just been checking the stock footage, it's good, but the browsing and preview tools are very lacking (unless I'm missing something). No facility to download preview version to try before using up a credit, and when you hit 'back' after previewing a clip in the hub it takes you back to the first item in the list, not back to where you chose the clip from - which could be hundreds of clips from the top. So I'm liking the content, but will be very slow to use. Overall looking very stable so far for actual editing :-)

I agree, hopefully see some improvements in this area, but so handy having it built in :-)

I'm not confused, because I read all 14 pages on this thread. (Really!) But the pop-up I got just now is likely (sure) to confuse some. Yes, I am aware that it is only the royalty-free stock that they are talking about that comes with the subscription, but I can see another wave of confused people thinking that it is VP19 that is subscription only.

And what about this facebook ad?

Highlighting features that are only included in 365, and then saying you can choose between monthly payment or perpetual license.

I have to say that I too am not that happy a bunny with MAGIX over the way they promoted Vegas 19 when sending their existing customers "offers"? Some months ago I upgraded (using an offer) to Vegas Pro18 Edit from MSP17Platinum and what hooked me to upgrade so soon was the "365 Subscription" package and it's content only available in that version. I too took note of the monthly figure compared to annual figure and thought I had checked out with the monthly payment in mind?

Not so, sadly an immediate trip away meant it was over 10 days before I returned to my PC where I found the amount I paid was the FULL annual price! Nor has the promised paperwork/receipt arrived either. Awaiting an answer from MAGIX Customer Services.

I know I didn't get a lot of time using Vegas Pro18 before I upgraded to the "365" variant, though lots of time spent on MSP17 got me used to the GUI for Vegas Pro as that version contained much that was soon to be known as Vegas Pr0 18, but I'm rather puzzled as to the lack of help/instruction for these "new" features? Within software the help actually appears to simply be that for VP 18?

When I do get my "Vegas Hub" to show, hell of an issue finding the command, all I get is a blank window . . even though it says I'm logged in!

RogerS wrote on 9/6/2021, 9:27 PM

They should be able to sort out the upgrade vs new purchse price.

For 365 you can install 19 if you haven't already and then try the Vegas Hub (control alt 8) to access Vegas content. The other Hub explorer window is just where the files are stored that you downloaded and where you can sync with your smartphone via an app. Other features will come online at some point I expect.

There is no updated help for VP 19 yet though almost all of the features have been documented on this forum if you search and the Vegas YouTubers have made tutorials for them. If you have questions you can start a new thread.

They are separate installations and should be able to co-exist on our computers.

Uninstalling the previous version is not necessary as different Vegas Pro versions can happily exist on the same computer. I've got Vegas Pro 16, 17, 18 and 19 installed on the same computer. Others on the forum have even older versions installed as well.

I just wonder why Vegas keeps doing this? After all these miss-purchase cases here at forum, it should be clear that something is wrong in marketing - and then they make it even worse. Weird marketing strategy 😶

Have you checked the current status of your activations on your MAGIX/VCS account re VP 18 and VP 19? (Note that VEGAS Pro 365 can be used on 1 device at a time, AFAWK.)

My feedback on 19 is not very positive. I'm moving from Vegas 15 to 19. To avoid problems, I'm starting with a new SSD drive with a fresh version of WIN 10. Before loading any programs I updated all my device drivers, especially my Nvidia card. I then loaded Vegas 19. When I dropped my first mp4 video on the timeline it started activating the mp4 codec and crashed, locking up the whole computer. I rebooted and tried again with almost the same result expect it only locked the program and not the computer. I rebooted again and this time I got the video on the timeline, but when I tried to play it I only got a solid red screen in the preview monitor. This is not a great start.

I uninstalled the program and tried installing it again. This time on first play off the timeline I got video, but full of flash frames. I soon found that there were single frames from random parts of the video inserted through out the whole piece. Eventually, I got the solid red screen of death. I sent a complete report to Support along with screen captures and am waiting. In the meantime, I uninstalled 19 and loaded 18. It had all the same problems.

Thinking I had a computer problem, I uninstalled 18 and loaded 15. It worked like a champ with no problems, so until I hear from support with a solution to just getting the new versions to play video, I'm staying with 15 and I'm not happy about this costly lesson.

Your CPU and GPU are both below recommended specifications. My suggestion is to turn off all GPU related settings and try loading the files again.

I was wondering if anyone knows, I purchased Vegas 19 Post on 8/21 and now I find that two weeks later they are offering the same upgrade, same price but with Titler Studio from Boris? Did I miss something or just get hoodwinked by buying it 10 days too early. Kinda don't like it. Been a user since Vegas 6

When you stop and think about that : there is no updated help for Vegas Pro 19 yet . . . you cannot help but try to imagine what is going on at MAGIX at this time? To quote Gary Rebholz from Magix . . "this is the most significant set of improvements we've ever offered" . . . really, and you didn't think coming out with an up to date help or manual at the same time would be useful? Incredible.
