Let's keep this post for technical discussion about VEGAS Pro 21 Build 208, and do any further discussion about MAGIX' business situation in this post on the Off-Topic forum: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/magix-producer-of-vegas-pro-files-for-insolvency--144942/

Don't know how you talk about new releases without considering if the company will even be around to release it.

@dale-garman VEGAS Pro 21 Build 208 is an existing release. It was released last year.

I am well aware of trends across the industry. That's why users check even small news. This is because of the desire to be together in the future and, on the contrary, the desire to respond accordingly. As a user, this is a natural confirmation and response. In fact, if users who do not know internal news are anxious about such news, I think Vegas Pro should also play a role in providing stability by providing company news.

Hi -

Links to build 208 are broken, as is the update function within the app, as is the program main installer (which fails to download the product).

RogerS wrote on 3/19/2024, 6:29 PM

I was able to start the download to 20 directly from here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-where-can-i-download-vegas-pro-and-other-vegas-software--104782/

I hope in the next build added transitions...

Another free video editors have a lot of profesional transitions and in vegas the transitions looks old. I Hope add the warp zoom transition as default.

and the glitch transition.

Also i hope add the effect smooth camera shake. Because pay for this in another company is expensive and another video editors have this effect for free.

Also i hope if exist a one option for turn the favourite tab as default.

Have you looked at the GLtransitions that are already in Vegas or the ones you can download for free?

I own Vegas Pro 13,16,17,18,& 21 VP 21 - 208 is unusable the preview window goes black followed by the program going unresponsive during editing sessions. VP 16 works the best for me. Dell workstation, Nvidia P5000, 128Gb ram, Xeon 28 cores. I use new blue and boris effects plugins.

Reyfox wrote on 3/23/2024, 7:12 AM

@DetGrano create a separate post with your problems being specific including information from this POST, especially "B" and "C".

All those years and this is your first post?

¿Has mirado las GLtransitions que ya están en Las Vegas o las que puedes descargar gratis?

Yes, thanks. I tried the open gl transition but not exist a glitch transition yet or warp zoom transition. I really hope appear in a next update for keep the software relevant specially for the people who create content for youtube or tiktok. The glitch transition is one of the more popular in the social media but in vegas not exist yet. I hope that appear in the future.

There is a warp zoom GL transition, you have to install it though. Study how to install GL transitions in Vegas. You could also create a warp zoom transition using a combination of tiling, picture in picture, and motion blur all animated using keyframes, then save it as an effectx preset to be easily applied to other clips.

This THREAD has the info on installing and modifying GL Transitions, including my favorite, Exponential Swish.

Thank you so much! In the past, I had tried to install those transitions without success, but today I managed to install them. They are very useful.

No problem! I know that sometimes, I need a lot of "hand holding" in doing something new. Sometimes, people that know "how" tend to, not intentionally, forget that there are others who don't know "how" and need instructions.

Vegas Pro 21 Build 208.Windows 11 Pro. An error occurred starting playback. Not sure why I'm getting this error: The ASIO device Realtek ASIO does not support the current sample rate. What might be causing this?

Reyfox wrote on 3/27/2024, 2:53 PM

@Rich-Ross, not enough information. Read this POST, and start a new post with that information, especially "B" and "C".

Could you make a new post and include info about your system (CPU, GPU model)?
Also what's the media? https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

My strong assumption would be there's something VEGAS doesn't like about some or all of the media in use.

Hi :)
I have installed trial version of Vegas 21 suite and it has annoying lila/purple background color in the audio effect parameter window, e.g. track compressor.
The worst thing is that the color in the Vegas Pro 14 version, which I use every day, has also changed. How to change it in both versions?
Please help!!!!

I assume the installer you used also installed SOUND FORGE and then ACID Pro. For some reason the built-in effects for VEGAS, ACID, and SOUND FORGE, while all functionally the same, are all built differently and overwrite each other when each program is installed, resulting in graphical glitches and crashes in some cases. This is what the ACID effects look like when loaded in VEGAS.

Reinstalling either version of VEGAS should replace the effects files and fix the issue.
