Try one of the benchmarks in my signature with Magix AVC and NVENC using the recommended settings and see how your system performs.

If it's normal, something specific in your project may be a bottleneck.

There are no particular settings to increase overall ram usage.

@Mysterics, hate to burst your bubble, but your i5 9th Gen isn't "powerful". The same with your 1070.

Create a separate post with your issues so it doesn't get lost here.

Curious though... if Premiere is 10x faster in rendering, why bother with Vegas? Especially if you are already paying the subscription?

Hello,
I have reported this and got an unsatisfying answer from the assistance by e-mail, which didn't solve my problem. In spite of multiple e-mails back to the assistance (through e-mail), I never got any other answer.

To make it short : Vegas Pro 21 does not launch on my new computer.
I get the splash screen, the interface starts appearing for a few seconds, then the program just shuts down completely.
I have Vegas Pro Post 21, I used this very same version on my former computer (Windows 10), and everything was fine. Now, on my new computer (with W11, i9 14900K, RTX 4090, drivers up-to-date, 192GB RAM), all programs work (Vegas Image, Vegas Effects, Acid Pro, etc.) but not Vegas Pro 21.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, to make sure I had the latest version, but to no avail.

In the suite, VP21 is the one program I need the most. At the moment, I reinstalled my older Vegas Pro 19, which works perfectly fine, but I can't use the VST3 plugins I need with it.
 

Will someone from Magix help me? Why don't I get any help from technical assistance?
Here's the only (totally useless) answer I got:

​An update has been released which resolves known issue and adds features to the application.  To download the update, close VEGAS then log onto your MAGIX.com account. Then, click MyProduct and click the Installation program link. After the installation is complete, you will have the latest build."
 

Nobody tried to contact me, ask me questions in order to find an explanation. I provided screenshots, videos showing what happens in the task manager when I launch the program, and I'm very surprised and disappointed about the poor quality of the assistance.

So... a little help from Magix would be more than appreciated. This suite is pretty costly, and I expect the assistance to be up to the price.

For support go back up to the top of this screen and click on support. Don't come to the forum, login and submit a ticket.

Just recently upgraded to Vegas 21 (208). I have been doing a lot of my current project in black and white (still pictures not video) and occasionally add in a color picture or part of a color picture to add a little splash to the video. For some reason all of the video is now black and white. I've double checked the Fx and it is Black and White where I wanted to them and no Fx where I didn't want the B&W effect. Why is everything Black and White now? I've done this technique 100 times in Vegas 19 and never had this happen. This is my first time using 21. Maybe you can share your project file? It must be a mistake like applying it a track level or a compositing mistake. Nothing changed with VP 21 (except adjustment events if you are using them).

Hello, immediately after launch Vegas crash. I reinstalled Vegas 21, disconnect internet, disable AMD graphics, so I use only RTX4070 but without success. Here is error report:

Olá, instalei o build 208, e o Vegas Pro não funciona, não tem acesso a menus, funções, etc... só carrega a primeira tela mas não consigo fazer nada. Restaurei a versão anterior do computador para ter a versão anterior do Vegas Pro (build 187).

Estou com o mesmo problema tive que voltar para versão 20 que esta funcionando 100% se você descobriu o que é me avise por favor, só foi meu pc atualizar que deu esse problema windows 11

Entretanto, conforme indicado acima, o problema da versão francesa não funciona está além de qualquer ajuda que a equipe de suporte técnico possa fornecer. Agora está nas mãos da equipe de testes e da equipe de desenvolvimento descobrindo o que está acontecendo e encontrando uma solução.

Ola meu vegas 21 quando abre esta tipo travado e passa um tempo ele volta a funcionar, testei no vp20 e esta funcionando perfeiamente.

Vegas 21 (208) is constantly crashing on me. It appears to happen simply by added multiple video clips into a project and just waiting for them to be processed. I've been working on 2 short videos with multiple short time lapse clips in each. Both had multiple crashes while trying to add the clips.

I have also experienced several crashes while manipulating my project where I pop from play to trying to clip regions. I do not have a grasp on the crashes nor can I reproduce them. However, it crashed on me about 5 times today and it does not always resurrect the videos when re-starting. I now don't trust the app so hit the save button a LOT. Kinda interferes with my editing. I am NOT doing anything fancy, just simple editing, recording sound, and clipping portions of the the video.

This is on a pretty hopped up Windows 11 machine built late last fall. 32M ram, all SSD drives, ASUS Z970 Hero MB, GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card.

- result of Help/Check for Driver Updates

Same for me, ard 10th email, uninstal, reinstal,superadmin mode,... nothing worked... The soft is simply buggy. I have a version 19 which works properly but the version 21 simply do not start. I have a similar config : rtx4070, i914300, brand new computer with no other soft installed so...
I am very disappointed too.

I scratch my head on this one. Vegas always starts for me. Always. Not once has it not started, no matter the version. Oh, there were issues sometimes once it started, but never starting? On a new computer?

Customer support I can't comment on. In the 6 years using the software, and every version from VP14-21, I personally never had a need to with my computer. My current build is listed below in my sig. In all those years, I've had an all AMD Ryzen computer (1700X, 3900X CPU's) and an AMD GPU (RX480 8GB and now RX 6700XT). I haven't bought a pre-build in decades going back to the early 90's.

That may be a problem. On this thread a French user had success installing an English version of VEGAS. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-21-crash-with-white-screen-at-starting--144517/#ca905219

You can try that and open a technical support case about your issue to help them figure out a real fix.

You did install the English version of VEGAS? All software can be downloaded from here.
