@Dexcon Sorry, I didn't mean to be disrespectful. I didn't mean it that way.

@set Unfortunately, I am unable to create a section without re-rendering. There are no problems with the newly rendered result. I would have to release the complete video. It is a private video and I have problems with the release. Sorry. I don't know how to cut a fragment without re-rendering.

@snibchi1, Gern geschehen! Thanks also for providing your sample media.

I have forwarded the issue to VEGAS Team. This is another issue of newer decoding mxcompoundplug.dll engine.

Should anyone else also having trouble with their MP4 videos, don't hesitate to share the sample, more variations of mp4 sample can help the development.

Bandicam footages also has been confirmed and same workaround to fix.

This happens to me relatively often in Vegas 21.0. You have to manually enter the correct PAR. Of course I have "Enable legacy..." enabled, because this is the only way Vegas reads files correctly and doesn't desynchronize video/audio tracks.

Blank screen in VP22b194 confirmed.

Add: I can't find any alternate way to directly import this into VP22, other than re-encoding it first, like, Shutter Encoder, to other general known format.

Use ffmpeg.exe

ffmpeg.exe -i input_video.mp4 -ss start_time_in_secs -t length_in_seconds -c copy output.mp4

What I would like to see in Vegas is an AI-based noise filter that can separate the human voice from the background noise.

Today I had someone's cell phone ringing in the background or another sound filtering in from outside. If not a sterile voice sound, it could at least muffle the background noise. Of course, it wouldn't hurt if you could put the background noise in a separate soundtrack, so I could adjust its volume when I needed to.

Ok one project and 4 days in so far, not all too happy:

Strange bugs, like menus sticking and staying on top of the GUI, or adding and FX to an event but it's not listed.

50% of all renders crashed Vegas 22. I also saw that the .tmp files are not deleted after the render.

-No noticeable preview speed improvement over V21.

-V22 takes up to 15 seconds and is shaky to get back online when moving outside the app, like for an internet search or folder, and then shows up in a different, smaller window size.
-NB titler pro 6 is completely unusable, either crashes V22 or does absurd stuff, like turning letters upside down or mirroring them.
-A few tries of using the BCC titler also crashed Vegas 22 after a few minutes.

-The "LUTs" are soso, but the LOOK luts are honestly a joke. Making the footage orange or yellow isn't a "warm film look".

-So far, V21 has been the best Vegas ever for me, as good as flawless.( except for the eternal preview performance issue ). I'll be waiting for updates and get back to 21 in the meantime. There's been no improvement in V22 for me so far.

@Mindmatter I am not experiencing anything close to what you are having. The only real difference between you computer spec and mine is the GPU.

I've used BorisFX Continuum Complete, NBFX TFX360, Smartsound, and the beta AI Assistant all while editing 4K 10bit 422 video from my Panasonic camera. No bugs with the UI or menus sticking (an example to be sure would be nice).

I always have the internet up and running. I also have in Vegas Pro, Options> Preferences>General tab check marked, Close media files when not the active application.

Maybe include what created your footage, how many assets you have in the Project, how long the project is

What is this option? What is it for? : " I also have in Vegas Pro, Options> Preferences>General tab check marked, Close media files when not the active application."

Reyfox wrote on 11/23/2024, 8:43 AM

@JH26 the Project Media and timeline media are "closed" (not active) when you switch to another program. It is like putting Vegas to "sleep". Once you go back, Vegas is "woken" up again and all the media are "reactivated" for use.

Thanks for the tip, it was actually the other way around for me. As soon as I unchecked that box, Vegas is instantly back online, as it doesn't¨have to wake up again after setting all media offline, it just stays active.

Footage is 10bit UHD slog3 from my sony FX3, with a LUT at track level.

You already did it using DDU Uninstall or the NVIDIA cleanup tool? I don't think the NVIDIA one requires safe mode.
