I'd like to request an undo/redo button at the bottom of the screen. For me most of the editing/trimming is done in the bottom half of the screen so going up to the top to undo is a tad annoying.

The button drop down has the advantage of showing the user a list.

@EricLNZ Agreed. Didn’t think of that aspect.

@Jack S I use my mouse more than anything, moving the mouse around on the bottom half of the 32" monitor is hand/finger movement but moving the mouse up to the top of the screen is hand+arm movement, if that makes sense, so reaching for the keyboard is no easier for me than moving the mouse to the top of the screen, + for some reason Ctrl+Z doesn't always work.. 🤷‍♂️

@Jack S 👍 I know it may be a minor or petty ask but my reg YT videos are very simple, I drag a bunch of files in from my other monitor Windows folder, then after that most of my work is done within this area (pic below), working my way along cutting n trimming, playing, looping regions to see how the pieces flow together. There's occasional text added but apart from that it's very simple. 👍

@Gid That is normal, keyboards do not always register simultaneous button press correctly, or are fiddley about that. In practice one usually press one button minutely before the other. Maybe get a good gaming keyboard.

Many gaming keyboards offer the ability to press multiple buttons simultaneously. This feature, known as key rollover, allows the keyboard to correctly register input from multiple keys pressed at the same time. Specifically, N-key rollover (NKRO) ensures that all keys, regardless of how many are pressed, are read correctly.

Key Rollover:

This is the ability of a keyboard to detect multiple key presses happening at the same time. If a keyboard has a low key rollover, it might not register all the simultaneous key presses, leading to missed inputs

Anti-Ghosting:

Some keyboards, especially those marketed for gaming, use anti-ghosting technology to prevent key presses from being misinterpreted or lost when multiple keys are pressed simultaneously

NKRO (N-Key Rollover):

NKRO is a feature that allows you to press any number of keys at the same time, and the keyboard will correctly register all of them. This is a crucial feature for gaming, especially in fast-paced games where multiple inputs are often required at the same time

Ctrl+Z works ok for other programs, that's why it's noticeable in VP & generally other multiple keyboard actions work fine.

@Gid There is also the issue of input lag and complexity of the undo action, if your system chain (including CPU) is kept busy with a demanding program such as Vegas it can appear less responsive for Ctrl+Z than some mere office applications.

@bitman Thanks, even if Ctrl+Z worked 100% of the time I'd still like a button at the bottom, as I say I'm mainly a mouse user. I sit parallel to the desk, feet on the other office chair, 4k screen is pretty much in front of me, 24" to the right (2 o'clock) with just folders open on it, cup in left hand mouse in the right, to do keyboard shortcuts or type I let go of the mouse 😁🤷‍♂️😁👍
