I was looking at this page while looking through internal menu. even scrolling that menu can cause vp18 to crash

It's unrelated to this topic, It's a scrolling internal preferences bug. do it too fast and it locks up temporary or crashes vegas. Your picture shows through at end due to vegas crashing, revealing the forum underneath

Your given solution helped me with this crash on laptop. Thanks very much!

I have up-loaded a short video to my you-tube channel to demonstrate the problem and how to apply a fix until Magix sorts this bug in the update.

I tested this - I get the same error - but the field "Collapse loop region when no time selection is present" was not checked by default.
