I still cannot open any project containing nested Redcode due to the redcode dll error. No reply from support going on three weeks.

Prior versions of Vegas allowed Frame Advance & Previous Frame buttons to be held down rather than continuously clicking to move frame by frame.  Why is this not available in 15. Also, hate dropdown menu in preview to access these buttons.

@ckellog

Have you tried selecting "Edit Visible Button Set" from the same dropdown you're currently using to pick Frame Advance & Previous Frame? I think if you go into "Edit Visible Button Set", and select to show all (or just those 2 additional buttons) the functionality will be as it was in earlier version as they'll no longer be in the dropdown but on screen.

@Norbert, your case seems a special one and no one here able to reproduce your problem... Please contact tech support ( https://support2.magix.com/customer/en/vegas/form ) along with your specific system, description of your issue, and your proof of Vegas copy ownership.

I installed the update on the Studio PC where I work and there the timeline works. There must be something with my laptop.

Norbert wrote on 10/10/2017, 4:29 PM

I'm not sure if it's a bug but now when the "Display frames in video preview during playback" is unchecked there won't be frames displayed in the Full Screen monitor at playback. I used to use this function in older versions so Vegas would show realtime playback only on the external monitor attached to my laptop without playing the same footage on the preview window. Now when the "Display frames in video preview during playback" is unchecked there isn't playback on the plus screen either.

Norbert wrote on 10/10/2017, 4:35 PM

Now I see the reason of this change, now when I use fullscreen on the external monitor there isn't playback in preview window automatically.

It's been over 2 weeks, when will we on steam get the updated build? Updating manually just tell me to update with steam but there is nothing to update to.

There is still a problem with Polish letters in titlers window (eg. ż [alt+z]). This shortcut causes "undo"! and it can't by changed :/ Fix it please.

During multicam editing the fullscreen monitor keeps blinking which is annoying and sometimes causes Vegas Pro to crash. (using a HD 7950 gpu)

It blinks a lot when I use the CTRL+ALT keys to edit the split point between two camera angles.

@Norbert - apparently they are aware of this issue and "it will be resolved in future updates". (it happens only with AMD gpu's)

@redpaw Is that from your own experience or from some discussion on the forum or elsewhere? I'd like to add it to the known issues post if it's something that's clearly defined and repeatable or has been officially acknowledged.

Hello,

I just bought and installed Vegas Pro 15 (been using 13 and 14 lately), Win 7 Pro, 32GB RAM, lots of space, hdd's, i7 Sandy 2600 processor, and looking forward to seeing what is better/changed/improved since v14, but ..

It's not working. It starts, loads all my plugins, etc., then just gives an error saying "Microsoft .NET Runtime could not be initialized". At first I dutifully went to Microsoft and updated my .NET thingie, and I already had it, but did a repair. Have restarted several times.

Please, any clues? I have searched and not found a related problem with someone else, and I did find a couple references to people using it with Windows 7 ...

Thanks!

VP14/15 on Windows 7 requires .NET Framework 4.6.2 to be installed to solve at least 2 known issues. It's a pity that the installer doesn't handle that.

Mizamook wrote on 10/30/2017, 2:00 AM

Preliminary response: THANK YOU! I had .NET 4.7 installed .. funny it didn't mention 4.6.2 ... but that seems to have done the trick ... I have more to test, but it's also funny that before you wrote, I was finding that I could open the program as long as I had v14 open (I am working on a project) but it would not open if I had nothing else open, and even if it did open, it would not import video. So far, so good!

@NickHope, it was confirmed to me by the support. i personally had that problem with all 3 different amd cards i went through since vegas 13 (and none of nvidia i had or borrowed to test)

The full screen monitor blinks at using the slide (or slip) tool and when I press CTRL+S to save the project and after a while the blinking crashes the program. I experienced this editing on HD 7950 and on a different system equipped with a HD 7990.

Norbert wrote on 10/30/2017, 3:01 PM

And it blinks at CTRL+Z commands too

Is it normal that whatever bitrate I chose, MAGIX AVC/MVC 1080p codec will create a 200MB file for a 2 min video?

Norbert wrote on 11/7/2017, 4:48 AM

No, with me lowering the bitrate of that default template with 50%, lowers the filesize with nearly 50 %.
2 minutes 1080 25p goes from 181 MB to 91,6 MB

Thanks, it turned out I messed up some settings.

Norbert wrote on 11/7/2017, 4:52 AM

Premiere Pro CC 2017.2 would stop working when I try to import project files created by Vegas Pro for Premiere.

Graviphoton wrote on 11/8/2017, 3:24 AM

Impressive list of bugfixes... unfortunatelly 2 of my biggest pains are not healed:

  1. So4 Compound Reader for AVC/M2TS imports 2 stereo tracks as 4 mono tracks (MP4 file recorded via ShadowPlay). Yes, this can be solved using old reader ("Enable So4 Compound Reader for AVC/M2TS"=FALSE) but better solution is fix the bug in new reader and do not force user to search for solution on internet.
  2. MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4 codec still do not support 60 fps. Only solution is to use old MainConcept codec - but it is 4x slower and VEGAS Pro is effectivelly downgraded to version 14. 🙁

Can I render out the multicamera view somehow? It would help me a lot when a client wants to see what other angles are available but doesn't have time to come to the studio.
