Upgraded last night and so far I'm not impressed at all. So far it looks like the icon was changed and the screens have more colors and labels on the clips. Buttons I use to use regularly are gone and now I've got to go find out how to get them back. So far I feel like I took a step back in time... disappointed...

Which buttons?

If you mean the buttons in Track level, it's right here:

. Rendering to 4K was 90 seconds on the QSV codec, and a pretty staggering 7:52 of render time. I think most would be hard pressed to notice any difference.

I can see the difference, QSV is even worse. MSU Quality Measurement Tool Pro Trial should be able to show there is a quality difference even if you personally can't notice.

Pretty dang close I'd say. The graphs are so close it's really tough to see. Perhaps against a better codec, but It seems Mainconcept is not much of a difference.

"Custom frame rates are now properly rendered with the MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4 plug-in"

It is not true... or it is not true completely. Custom frame rate works only when you choose Encode mode=MainConcept AVC. If you select accelerated NV encoder only values in drop down list are allowed. Different values are on focus change replaced with "23,976 (IVTC Film)". You can not use 60 fps for example.

Doing my first home project completely in VP 15 (used to use VP 11, 12, 13 before).

I absolutely do not like the new UI that looks non-native for the system (Win 10).

Buttons with different styles in a single program, especially the buttons that looks like they were accidentally pressed on hovering drives me crazy.

However, the worst things for me -- FX buttons on timeline. It's very hard to see them over the video's screenshots and almost impossible to understand if the filters already applied or not as the only difference is slightly "blue-ish" font colour.

The only good thing for now -- slightly better framerate during preview when Mercalli applied. In VP13 the preview is very choppy for the first ~3 seconds after I started it. In VP15 this is fine.

Hi Everyone

I have a strange issue. I upgraded to version 261 yesterday and since then, if I click on an fx button on an object in the timeline, a single white bar appears across the screen with the words Plugin Chooser - video event FX but no plugins are shown. (see arrow pointing to bar in attached pic) It also launches the Event Pan /crop box at the same time which displays normally. I can't do anything on the screen until I close the bar. When I close the white bar the Event Pan /Crop box remains, the bar disappears. The only way I have found of applying an fx is to drag and drop onto the time line which is a bit more long winded. Anyone else have the same problem and anyone know a solution? I am using a dell machine I7 4770 with GTX 750TI

Thanks Paul

Please try updating to current build 311.

Thanks Marco, I didn't realise there was another update, I'll give it a try.

I never heard or got notice of this update either and when I just now checked on me "News" in the help tab I got a no news popup. Disappointing.

ADDENDUM: I love the small color improvements to the GUI --
