Vegas Studio won't load on my laptop. Says: Vegas Pro has stopped working. I just bought the Pro 22.

@TAMMY-MAHONEY create a separate post and include ALL the information from "B" and "C" from this POST in your post, if you want help. No generalities, but specifics.

Also going to your User Profile, guess what I see.... nothing. Blank. It is usually the first place those that are going to help you look to get information about your computer specs. Better yet, add them to your Signature, like mine below.

@vkmast I did not receive the mail that VEGAS Pro Suite 22 is now available, I downloaded VP22 suite from my Magix account as soon it was available at the day of it release. As for my 365 license I renewed it to a new 365 suite license following a sale a few weeks before the VP22 release, obviously there was no mention of VP22 at that time.

So I was not informed of the suite separate content pack.

Ok solved, thanks to Nick's updated Download post!

Downloading the suite content pack as I speak.

I purchased Video Pro 22 Suite; however, it is not downloadable, it reaches a certain point and its set there, it won’t go beyond that point.

Vegas Pro 22, 580.27MB, 100%. Vegas Deep Learning Model,1.46GB, 100%.

Mocha Vegas, 73.28MB, 100%. Acid Pro 11, 393.83MB, 100%

Analogue Modelling Suite Plus, 32.82MB, 100%

Essential FX Suite, 30.05MB, 100%. Vandal, 44.73MB, 100%

Sound Forge Pro 18, 797.91MB, 100%, Acoustic Mirror Impulse Files, 48.08MB, 100%

Noise Reduction Pack (64-bit), 22.14MB, 100%

That’s where it freezes up.  How do I get pass that point

Does Vegas 22 support ATMOS?

@GTL It reads AC3 5.1, doesn't decode E-AC3, Dolby True HD, Dolby Atmos, it doesn't encode any dolby surround sound format but Voukoder does.

@X-J try again at a different time. Also, your user profile is blank. Nothing in it. How about filling out in the Signature, your complete computer hardware like mine in my Signature. One of the very first things people want to know is what hardware you have.

And then, start a separate post with all that information and what is happening.

@X-J I had a similar problem, due to a setting on my Windows 11 PC, the files ended up in an Onedrive folder, in my case in Magix Downloads/Installation Manager, copied from there to the PC and then unpacked without any problems. Maybe it helps.

Something else: The Transitions pack presents itself on my computer after the installation as a collection of .veg files (with previews in GIF format), how can these be integrated into VegasPro 22?
Or is there an installation error?

I made sure I was an administrator and still I can't connect with the VEGAS HUB LOGIN (Build 22.0 Version 93) no matter what I do. I have even tried turning off all my antivirus. I installed this from scratch.

Press "Windows" + "R" on the keyboard.

Type "netplwiz" and press Enter key on the keyboard.

Double click on the user name.

Go to "Group membership" tab.

Change to administrator account.

Click on OK.

I'm not seeing the 100% usage with VP22. Starting the software, while loading, 3-4% CPU usage, even less for the GPU. It does "spike" to 7% while loading my current project, then it drops to 0% usage.

I have it hitting all 14 cores at 100% for up to a minute when loading an existing project and the CPU fans spin up. I don't know why that is and it goes back to normal shortly.

I use it all the time. Maybe you should try learning how.

What are your suggestions for 'learning how'? I just tried SM2.0 today in 22 and to "complete mask" its estimating 40 minutes to do a 10 second clip. That is unusable to me.

I think your 6th gen 9 year old CPU, might be one of the reasons why it takes so long. It also depends on the footage too.

You are trying to leverage older hardware with new software features that require

Smart mask is slow on higher end hardware as well. I care less about my computer's time and more about my own time so happy to walk away while it works.

Maybe there is room for optimization, especially on higher end GPUs.

Exactly, I'd spend the same amount of time manually masking it, so it isn't like it's costing me time... it's saving me tons of work in the same amount of time. Yes, I'd like to see it optimized to run faster, but it's still definitely useful.

Reyfox wrote on 8/13/2024, 5:38 AM

Still, hardware plays a big part of it. What might be "slow" with older hardware, might not be "as slow" with current hardware.

Would we all like everything to work blazing fast with all hardware? Yes. But that just isn't the case. With most new "AI" features comes the requirement for newer hardware to get even close to a satisfying performance.

Like others, I'll do something else while the computer churns away. But my walk will be shorter because of my hardware than someone with much older hardware.

Heck, I remember the days of waiting overnight for rendering of a video.... even with the fastest hardware available....

I draw the line when the slowed down renders of a concert shoot can no longer complete overnight... especially with my backup generator being in the process replacement over the next few months.
