I use it all the time. Maybe you should try learning how. Also, VP22 hasn't been out for "a couple weeks". It's 6 days old.

I just noticed that in Vegas 22 the video stabilization (freeze motion FX through motion tracking) is behaving completely erratically and keeps glitching and not center tracking properly. Anyone that has tried that out since the update?

Edit: just slightly moving the event on the timeline breaks the tracking. It keeps working flawlessly on V21 but V22 completely broke motion tracking for me

Did you set the color space for the media in the media properties menu?

Hi. Yes I did. I even tried creating new empty project and deleted .sfk files from clip directory. Same problem persists. When using 32-bit video levels only mode, values can be adjusted to max.

Tried also starting Vegas with CTRL+Shift on. Did not help.

Fwiw, I just tried my hand at using smart mask 2 on a photo of 2 people where one was much closer to the camera than the other and whose face was 2x larger due to the perspective. The idea was to insert the 2 faces into a product label after evening up the face sizes. I'd normally do this with Photoshop layers but masking takes time and I wanted to try vp22 smart masking. Took all of 5 minutes on my laptop. Granted, no animation or motion tracking involved, but rather slick none the less.

Multicam Audio synchronization Fails to synchronize a lot faster, but like past Vegas versions it is still completely useless!

With slog 3 media and the color space set correctly I'm not seeing limited highlight values in 22.93. I set the ACES working space to ACEScc as the default has other issues (broken here).

With FX30 Sony XAVC-S - AVC (also Slog 3 10 bit) I don't see issues either- highlights get up above 1000.

Hi.

Yes, by choosing ACEScc problem disappears. With default it does not work.

The default ACES space must be rewiewed. But the ACES transformation works fine with ACEScc, also for HDR. So please test and use that for all kind of log and raw footage, that you wish to grade.

And do not forget to define the input function for your footage, if you apply ACES.

To clarify, what Wolfgang refers to as the input function can be set by right clicking on the footage in the project media bin, and selecting "properties", then in the following menu, setting the color space to correspond with the format your footage was shot in, such as "Vlog/Vgamut", or "HLG".

Can anyone offer some step-by-step guidance RE accessing and activating the Vegas Pro 22 content pack, in particular, the 80 songs and transition pack? I'm not able to find any instructions that I can understand. Thanks.

Perhaps colorspace dialog should be resized a bit? This has been like this many versions already.
