Any help you could have offered would have been welcome. Go back to the first comment on this thread, particularly: I see the same on my laptop, unchecking legacy HEVC helped. I've just got a GoPro Hero 11 Black and unchecking 'Enable Legacy HEVC

GoPro 10 5.3K video
I just returned from a long trip shooting video with 3 different cameras that I plan to use in a project, including a new camera I've never used before, a GoPro 10. I shot in 5.3K for maximum pixels and I just tried loading it into Vegas Pro and

RE: Vegas Pro does not open video file .mov (4K frame rate 25)
Right on. Thanks for some of that clarification. I had read a bit about HEVC vs AVC yesterday, and my default plan, once I convinced myself that VP didn't play well with the Cineform codec (which I know see is different than .mov containers), was to

RE: Vegas Pro does not open video file .mov (4K frame rate 25)
I think I see. So, I perhpas I could open individual Cineform files in Vegas Effects run by itself, and make whatever modifcations. But, I'm imagining that transferring those files to Vegas Pro would still not be possible? Or perhaps Vegas Effects

RE: Vegas Pro does not open video file .mov (4K frame rate 25)
I still think you should make a new thread as this is about GoPro workflow more than compatibility. Cineform is fairly dated at this point (I last used it a decade ago) and in Vegas only opens using the 32-bit Quicktime plugin, which unfortunately

RE: Vegas Pro does not open video file .mov (4K frame rate 25)
I think just start a new thread and explain what you are shooting, your goals and ask for assistance. 10-bit may well not be necessary for what you are doing. Also screenshots of the GoPro Player software would be good to see what render options it

RE: Video size
@Ruby888 Since @john_dennis and I often collaborate on this forum, I hope he won't mind if I provide a bit of context to your question. You are correct, higher bitrate yields higher quality, but up to a point. In modern encoding, the single
