RE: constant crashes with 4k 10bit mp4 DJI pocket 2 footage
@MindmatterMaybe I see the same only on my laptop using a lot of 4K HEVC 8 bit 50p files, caused by the increasing amount of used memory.I managed to avoid the crashes by changing 2 settings in my Vegas installation.Because I use those GOPro files

RE: VEGAS Pro 21 Build 300 General Thread
I did some testing with the new build of 21 and am impressed overall. NVDEC is finally performing well (better than QSV in most cases) and HEVC I could never edit before is working well. It also looks like the NVENC still image render bug is

@Keith-Brown, and you'll never know unless you TEST it. Here's the type of footage I'm using: DJI Osmo Pocket 4K: General Complete name : D:\Blogs\Pizza\221028 Ace's Chicago Pizza\DJI_0463.MP4 Format

RE: Vegas Pro Workflow Bugs as found in 19 and now Version 20
@RogerS you hit the nail on the head. I do my image editing in CS5. I have found no easy way to edit my GoPro / .GPR or Alpha Raw / .ARW files. It's a sore point for me but I don't want to subscribe to Adobe for latest Photoshop. I really appreciate

@RogerS that's interesting that your Explorer pane doesn't act up. I'd love ability to create folders in it too and organize clips better. I have to constantly switch between windows Explorer and Vegas in my workflow which costs me time and drive

RE: [Closed] Post Your VEGAS Creations!
Reyfox, one of the nice features on the gopro is the timelapse. Other than the time that the camera is working it is a pretty painless operation. Only takes a couple of minutes swimming through the menu to setup the camera. That was about 2.5 hours

RE: Vegas Pro Workflow Bugs as found in 19 and now Version 20
Great stuff, thanks for compiling it and hope Vegas staff will review it, too. I like the idea of Fx starting with favorites and limiting render templates to known legal values (GPU renders seem to have max bitrates for example). I wasn't able to

... and it does have 8k video. From Samsung's Australian website, the specs page for the S23 Ultra shows that it does have 8K (all S23 versions): https://www.samsung.com/au/smartphones/galaxy-s23-ultra/specs/ Judging by your mentioning of public

RE: Vegas 19 continually crashing, unusable, but 13 stable same PC?
Vegas prefers Intel iGPUs for decoding but that doesn't help you. You could reencode them with software lile ShutterEncoder or Handbrake which should result in stable AVC files. Still, it would be better if they improved decoding for your GoPro

    RE: VEGAS Pro 20 feedback
New user here and recently installed. My initial impressions are underwhelming TBH. I shoot quite a lot of 4k GoPro footage at 60fps CFR - these are H265/HEVC. The main issue I have is with the preview window. If I just import the files as is, the

RE: Vegas Pro does not open video file .mov (4K frame rate 25)
@EricLNZ Is it possible you have your bad take on 50i due to TV show conversions from 60i for content originating in NTSC countries? That used to look terrible, especially with fast credit scrolls at the end of TV episodes and panning shots, it's

RE: Encoder glitches / digital artifacts on clips transitions
Tip: forget about NVENC supported Magix AVC rendering. Try Voukoder for Vegas. I'm going to give this a try. Downloading it now. UPDATE: downloaded Voukoder. It works w/o glitches although it about half as fast from around 20 minute render w/ Nvidia

RE: Vegas Pro 19 crashing since upgrading to build 643
One thing could be to try to re-encode the drone and GoPro files in case that's the cause of the issues in Vegas. I'm guessing MXVideoAllocator means you are working with HEVC files? You don't say what the CPU is but if you have the NVIDIA card

Thanks, everyone. it's interesting that my 'Intel HEVC' format option seems to be (almost) exclusive to my setup - no explanation for it. The only other video-related program installed on my VEGAS Pro PC is a late-version copy of the discontinued

but this has me spinning out. @Steve-Gill You're using the public beta version of VP20, in a recent VP20 release there was a mention of fixing a decoding problem with gopro files. Could that be causing your crashing? You could get a trial for VP20

    RE: Preview is very slow
With GoPro footage, making Proxy Files is always the first recommendation. The discussion of expensive graphics hardware is probably secondary to your issue, and I'm sorry I brought it up, because such discussions tend to go on endlessly here.

It's every version of Vegas since I began using it back 12 years ago and continues with V20 Subscription. My computer is windows 10, 64 bit with an RTX700, i9 Core, and 64 gigs of ram which should be enough. Same here. I tend to edit at most one
