ShowRecDat - Display and use recording data within Vegas pro

Comments

Peter_P wrote on 9/17/2019, 2:38 AM

The newer Sony A6400/A6600 and Sony A7RM4requires some adaptation and I added the display of the ISO values for XAVC-S files.
As usual you find the download link in the first porst of this thread.

Thanks @Peter_P

It would be nice to add the extension to this list.

@Former user

Yes I might do this, but all my tools are linked in my signature.

Thanks for everything, I find it really useful.

Do I have to install Vp 14_3.21?

But could you indicate how I can install the script? I'm trying but I can't.

No it should be working with Vp14 to Vp17. The ShowRecDat.dll and ShowRecDat.png should be copied to the folder : C:\ProgramData\VEGAS Pro\Application Extensions\

riu wrote on 11/23/2019, 2:46 AM

Sorry, I can't find the folder called Application Extensions
I paste it directly here?

Peter_P wrote on 11/24/2019, 10:40 AM

If there is no folder, you have to create it : C:\ProgramData\VEGAS Pro\Application Extensions

john_dennis wrote on 11/24/2019, 12:14 PM

C:\ProgramData is hidden by default. You have to use Folder Options in the Windows Control Panel to show it.

Happy New Year!

I have added the support for the embedded SRT information of the DJI Mavic Mini in *.mp4 files. The Mavic Mini does not generate a seperate *.srt file but stored the information in the *.mp4 file.

With the current firmware, the v/h-speeds are not jet recorded, but I already kept the space for these data to hopefully come with a new FW update.

Does the camera record the lens type or focal length to files? That's data I could use with lens correction software in post. Even without that this is a useful tool.

Which camera are you using? Some do others don't.

The old Sony SR11E even records focus distance and used focal length.

RogerS wrote on 2/25/2020, 3:42 AM

Hi Peter, I'm using the Sony a6500, a6600 and RX100IV with X-AVC footage. Focal length would be so helpful if it were stored somewhere.

Thanks for your work on this tool, by the way!

Unfortunately these do not record the focal length. I many use the Sony RX10M2 which does it also not.

Peter_P wrote on 3/20/2020, 2:41 AM

I have added support for the Fujifilm X-T cameras in Version V3.40, that can be found via the first post of this thread. Currently there are only very few samples from the new X-T4 in the net. Here is one example.

The data are recorded with the setting at the begin of the clip as with most newer Panasonic cameras.

Sorry, I already did this:
The ShowRecDat.dll and ShowRecDat.png should be copied to the folder: C: \ ProgramData \ VEGAS Pro \ Application Extensions \

But now how can I see the data on my Vegas pro?

But now how can I see the data on my Vegas pro?

Use 'View / Extensiosn / Show Recording Data' or add this to the top toolbar by with 'Options / Customize Toolbar'.

Thank you very much for the help, but doing that, the data I need does not appear.

  Only these appear:

What camera are you using? No all can be supported by this tool.

walter-i. wrote on 3/29/2020, 3:28 AM

@riu
(Also) in this forum at least half of all questions would be superfluous, and the threads would be much clearer if the participants entered their hardware and software in their personal settings .......
For example: see my signature.

riu wrote on 3/29/2020, 4:51 AM

Hello, it's true, I just added some data to my signature.

My camera is a Panasonic HC-VX1.

Peter_P wrote on 3/29/2020, 8:37 AM

Sorry, this model is currently not supported by this tool.

riu wrote on 3/29/2020, 9:30 AM

Wow, what a shame, it would be very good for me. Do you think it will be soon?

Peter_P wrote on 3/30/2020, 1:12 AM

Sorry, but currently I have no intend.
