Using his apparent lack of knowledge of current product names, I imagine that if Parker Walbeck has any Panasonic equipment, he probably refers to that equipment as being branded National or National Panasonic 😀.

The thing is that there can be times (e.g a business presentation) where getting a name wrong can raise doubts in the audience (possibly potential clients) about what else the presenting company/person is wrong or sloppy about.

He isn't focused on editing software; he is focused on equipment, commercial gimmickry, and $$,$$$ budgets.

Maybe the 2% represents users of old Sony versions or pirated versions. 😀 The percentage that use recent Vegas versions is unknown.

Vegas did say that In the marketing video I think for Vegas 17 and the other problem with Final Cut mainly with Apple and the m1.

I'm 100% sure Google android and Microsoft Windows pc / laptop users that tho companies have that Apple doesn't have the clue is in the first part of the video

And whenever you see a apple user talking about I've used Windows computer in the past and I had a bad experience on YouTube thay show like really old computers.

And my other complaints about the M1 and how people are taking about it that it's better than Windows laptop it draws less power battery life is great plugged and unplugged performance as well before the apple silicon chip came out none of the Mac users were talking about any of this and one thing that they won't admit is Microsoft and Google have the market share when it comes to laptops smartphones.

If a random person goes to a shop to buy a laptop or computer 99% sure thay would not be thinking battery life etc most likely buying a Windows computer.

Most likely thinking about price , touchscreen , upgradability games , what brand , convertible oem , licencing , market share etc.

Basically what I'm saying is Windows is everywhere self-service machine till machines not just laptop and desktop and there still reasons to buy a Windows laptop and an Android device over Apple stuff in 2022 like Vegas pro is a reason to go pc.

Intel isn't dying and Microsoft isn't dying just because of the Apple silicon most computers still have intel chips in it.
