I use a Sony a7iv for video and this camera is capable of recording proxy files as well. Can I use these proxy files that are created in the camera in vegas pro 20?
My Sony RX10IV records proxies along with the full-size video.

The biggest issue is that the file names are different.
There are different approaches. You could start your project at your final delivery Project Properties with the proxies in different folders and rename the folders for the final render.
Here's the tedious way to get it done. I haven't felt the need to use the proxies from my camera. This is a thought experiment for me.
Renaming the proxy file to match your master files while you drink something might be less annoying.
@john_dennis Renaming the proxy files with a renaming tool shouldn't be a problem. Replacing/swapping the proxies with the full-size videos (and vice versa) is just a mouse click with the Vegas internal swapping feature.
