17 Platinum not responding

Just downloaded 17 Platinum on my new laptop. Dell Inspiron, 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11390H @ 3.40GHz, 16G RAM, 64 Bit with Windows 11. Upon opening, it will just stop and read not responding. Have tried to delete and reinstall but did not help. I'm at a loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Whilst written for Pro it also applies to VMS.

Downloaded from the VMS site. EricLNZ, tried what you suggested but it still locks up upon loading then states (Not Responding).

VMS site? Can you point us to that site? You may not have a viable copy of the software.

@lee-robin What is your build number? Give us the name of your downloaded file as that will tell us.

Musicvid, it was downloaded from the Vegas site thru my account.

EricLNZ, it won't open so I don't know the build number. I also went back to my account on Vegas and it does not show the build number either.

@lee-robin The file name of the file that you downloaded will tell us. Presumably you have it on your pc and are trying to install from it. Just want to check you have the latest build.

I also just got 17 Platinum and installed on Windows 11. It won't even pull up the boot screen when I try to run the program. All the other programs that came in the bundle open and function fine. My download file is vegasmoviestudio17platinum_dlm_k17w6

That appears to be build #221. If you are a registered user, download Build # 223 from the Magix website. Note that it is not guaranteed to work on Windows 11, but it's your best shot.

Perhaps VMS17 won't run on Windows 11 which is a worry as my next pc will most likely come with Win 11.

Found & fixed my problem. After several emails with support, they asked me, and sent a link, to install a new Intel driver. Tried it but did not work. The next day I fired up my computer and a pop-up, from intel said something about a driver update. So I clicked the link and it brought me to: Intel-Driver-and-Support-Assistant-Installer. Ran the program and it installed a new driver, don't know which one, it may be internal to the installer, and now 17 works as it should. Thank you guys for all of you help and expertise.
