Add a pdf chart to half my screen

Movie Studio Platinum: I want to display a chart on half of my screen while discussing it on the other half. Can I use the split screen video technique? (note I have not yet made the video so I'm asking before I try . . . )

Basically, using Picture-in-Picture FX is possible.

Unfortunately with VMS the PIP FX restricts the image to the original aspect. You cannot adjust the X and Y axis by different amounts.

I'd use Pan/Crop or Crop FX to crop the image so it occupies half the screen then use PIP FX with a scale of 1.00 to move the image to one side using the PIP Location adjustment.

You can't open a PDF directly in Vegas. Save first as a PNG or TIFF image.
