AUDIO in problem

Hello all ..... I have MS 15 Platinum. Windows default audio out is a Delta ASIO card. Recording default is a USB mic (there is a CCTV camera taking up the audio in on the ASIO card). Both work great together. Great that is except in Vegas MS where there is no option to select the Windows default settings. I select my ASIO card for output but on recording there is no option for an external mic. The only option available is the inputs from that same card. In the windows settings, in MS15 settings, the Delta card is the output and the USB mic is the input but this is not reflected in MS 15.

FWIW I notice the same behaviour in Audio Studio 10 whereas in its predecessor, Sound Forge 7, it works perfectly allowing me to choose both output and input independently. It seems that MS15 is tied to one device for both output and input which is rather naff imo as it makes recording a talk-over ridiculously complicated.

Is this a bug or a feature - or perhaps someone might tell me where I am going wrong?

Thanks

Do you have both ASIO and Mapper available in Vegas' audio driver preferences?

Hello ..... and yes I do. Things have moved on here. I have tried the same setup on another PC and it works fine so it appears that this issue lies in the one machine which I will sort one way or another......

Thanks
