Audio Recording Problems with Playback

I'm using Movie Studio 16.0 Platinum. As I'm I recording from a microphone directly to the timeline, you can see the sound wave forms, but when you stop recording they disappear. I cant get it to play back sound

Set your Vegas audio drivers to ASIO or HD Audioi.

Make sure the track is armed and hit the record button.

Keep the meters in the green range.
