Best render setting when having different video files (MV Pro 14)

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, but hopefully this is not an obstacle to help meπŸ˜‰

I created a new video project (duration 1h) with Magix Vegas Pro 14. Within this project I have 4 different types of video files with the follwoing format / outcome:

- Sony HX90 (.mp4 - 1920x1920 - 50fps - ~55mbit)

- Sony RX100 III (.mts - 1920x1920 - 50fps - ~25mbit)

- GoPro Hero 5 black (.mp4 - 3840x2160 - 25fps - ~60mbit)

- DJI Mavic (.mov - 3840x2160 - 29fps - ~60mbit)

I'm now wondering: What are the best rendering settings for me, to get the best possible result (file-format, resolution, bitrate, fps...)?

I'm thankful for every hint, because I'm really not sure which settings to use πŸ˜ƒ

Your best overall delivery will be 1920x1080 at 25fps (Resample disabled). Always safe to honor the least common denominator.

That said, your 29.97 fps is going to be problematic, and you "may" want to convert that separately to conform to the 25fps project settings.

Your rendered bitrate depends entirely on how it is to be played back.

Hi Musicvid,

Thank you very much for your reply. I'm having a HiMedia Q10 Pro 4Mediaplayer for my videos, so the final video will be shown with this player.

Which file format do you suggest for rendering? Is wmv ok?

I know nothing about your player, but I would recommend mp4/avc as being a better choice.

Your "Player Specifications" will tell you the rest. I doubt anyone here knows what those are...

Hi,

Thanks again, but one last question. The setting to render an mp4 are very similar, but there are a lot of different types of mp4 settings to choose from. Are the following settings ok or which settings from the list should I choose exactly?

Start there. Disable Resample on the 50p events.

Come back when you've made some mistakes. πŸ˜‰
