I would like to burn 2 different format videos onto dvd using sony vegas. I have some XAVC S footage and some HDV 720. Is it possible to be able to record the 2 formats onto one dvd. If I use the custom template for the XAVC S footage it uses double pal, its not really the proper template for HDV 720. Do i have to render them seperately to dvd first and then import the 2 files into vegas to be rendered again to dvd. Thanks
By downgrading both formats to DVD resolution and frame rate, you can author a DVD movie from different sources. Just don't expect miracles -- it is what it is.
Use the appropriate DVD Architect template to render the video. You are in for some experimentation if you are making NTSC from 50p. The audio is rendered AC3, author and mux in Architect.

Of course you can do this with Vegas.
Vegas is able to mix different formats in whatever kind of projectformat.
With your different footages it is possible as long as you choose to render is to a Mainconcept Mpeg-2 format that suites your wish, but that is SD (DVD format normal is SD). With a programstream you make video and audio that can be burned to DVD, with a suitable videostream only you also have to render the audio of that project seperate.
