Can't import or register mpeg2

When I try to drag an mpg (mpeg2) file into Movie Studio 15 Platinum or render a movie using the MainConcept MPEG-2 format, I get a pop-up window that reads "Hint" "The activation code you entered is invalid. Please make sure you entered it correctly. If the problem persists, please contact the MAGIX support." (The MainConcept AVC/AAC format works correctly.)

How do I correct this problem?

Contacting MAGIX Support is probably your only solution.

Have you used mpeg2 before? If it's your first time then perhapsMS15 is trying to reach the unlock server but there's a server problem. .

Are you using a registered version of the software or purchase online?

I used to use MPEG-2 in MS14 without any problems for both importing and rendering. The MPEG-2 format has never worked for me in MS15. I left MS14 installed when I installed MS15 and although MS14 still allows me to import MPEG-2 files, it now won't let me render to MPEG-2 either.

I have registered versions of MS14 and MS15, both of which I purchased via the web directly from MAGIX.
