MediaInfo states a PNG codec. Which seems odd to me, but I"m not a video expert. In any case, it opens and plays back normally for me in VP-9 and VP-16 The video also plays back in SF Pro 13

It worked! Thanks! Weird that it wasn't on by default. Usually it was in all other Builds and Versions ....

'Deprecated Features' settings are new. VP16 and prior did not have them. I do not know which are enabled by default. Probably none. As was the case with the basic tittler

Weird that it wasn't on by default.

How was the video acquired?

It looks like a 4k implementation of a legacy codec -- if so, you are right, it should be supported natively, not legacy qt7.

It was rendered from Titler Pro 6

Oh, what other render choices are there in Titled Pro?

Don't get me wrong, it's a very good codec, just very old and not well supported in Windows.

May be something a bit newer and / or more efficient is available for Win 64.

That's the only choice for render there... :(

Well, thanks for bringing it up; Magix should now be aware of this, just as with the "new" old-format Canon files, and act on your finding in a future release. They are "deprecated" because qt7plug.dll is 32 bit, but PNG MOV decoder support doesn't need to be.

Grazie wrote on 10/15/2019, 1:23 AM

@Kloverton - Do you mean NewBlue TitlerPro 6? You Generated Graphics from NewBlue TitlerPro 6? Did you do this EXTERNAL to VegasPto? And used the NewBlue TitlerPro 6 Format? If this is the case then whatever is produced by a third party should be complied with by VegasPro and have the support DECODER set to make it Default for VegasPro? If that’s your line of logic then I’d strongly suggest you take that one up with MAGIX. When I’ve used NewBlue TitlerPro 6 INTERNALLY I can then use any Render As Template.

@Musicvid - Did you follow my logic?

Certainly I follow the logic and I suspected it was NewBlue. I just don't own Titler Pro so I could only go with the poster's explanation for using an obscure format

@Musicvid - Thank you 🙏 .

@Musicvid - Didn’t we all.

@Kloverton - If you ARE using NEWBLUE TitlerPro (NBTP), I use it directly within VP. If you are able to use it within VegasPro you will have ALL the render formats that Vegas uses. This way you aren’t restricted or “forced” to use only those provided by NBTP?
