Certain MP4s open on my laptop, but not my desktop (VEGAS Pro 14).

This is something that has plagued my since June. I can open certain MP4s on my installation of Vegas Pro 14 on my laptop, but not on my desktop. When I try to import those MP4s onto my Desktop Vegas Pro 14, I get the error "Warning: An error occurred while opening one or more files. The file is most likely corrupted or of an unknown format." or "None of the files dropped on VEGAS Pro could be opened." when I try and drag and drop them. When I run the file through Handbrake, the MP4 becomes usable on my desktop, but I don't want to keep converting large files like that every time I want to use one. Both of my machines are running Vegas Pro 14.0 (Build 270), 64 bit. Both use the latest 64 bit Windows 10. My desktop is a custom build with a Ryzen 1600, 1080ti, 16 GB of ram, and my laptop is the IdeaPad FLEX-14 running a Ryzen 5 3500U, 12 GB of RAM. I've gone and made sure all the settings between machines are the same, my GPU rendering is off for each since I cannot turn it on, I can't really show you project properties since I cannot open the file in a project,.

Here is the MediaInfo information.

Let me know if you want to know anything else. I usually work on my laptop because of this issue, but now my laptop Vegas Pro 14 install has it's own issue where I cannot save or render without being told I don't have a license for the software even though I do and the issue does not appear on my desktop. I can save and render just fine on my desktop with different MP4s and footage, of course. I submitted a support ticket for that, but if anyone knows the answer to that problem please let me know because I cannot work on my projects with both of my installs not cooperating.

EDIT: I just reinstalled the program and now I an open those files on my desktop. Now I feel stupid. Everyone point and laugh. About that laptop though? Anyone got a clue about that?

Instead of reinstalling in the future, resetting Vegas often does the trick.
