Cinema aspect ratio 2.35:1 not working in VP...

Hi,

if we consider that this tutorial:

is the only proper way how to make the right cinema aspect ratio working in the righ way in all screens (without just adding black bars) I have to say that it does not work in VP as you can see on the pic. I set the project the same way as the guy did in Premiere (3840 x 1574) but there are strange strips on left and riht side. What do you think?

You would use 2.35:1 SOURCE or crop it to fill the frame. No magic to be found here.

That said, never use a Premiere tutorial in Vegas. They are not the same.

Not that 2.439644218551461:1 is the right cinema aspect ratio...

You can watch my tutorial video on using 21:9 aspect ratio. To get diff type aspect ratio you can do the math by urself. VEGAS will automatically shows empty space pillar bars on the left & right of your video because of your source footage is not the exact aspect ratio you set in the projects timeline. So you have to manually set the the footage aspect ratio to match with timeline inside Pan/Crop.
