Circular Effect on Vegas Pro ?

Hello, I'm using VEGAS Pro 15, and I'm looking for a particular effect, like this one :

The original frame is one single rectangle, it is reproduced and it forms a circle. Each particle is rotated so its base faces the center of the circle. Of course this is possible without any effect, but it takes so many tracks and effort, i'm sure there must be an effect for this right? I've tried all the NewBlue and borisFX effects, and none of them give a result like this one.

If one of you know a plugin/effect that would give the related result, I'd be really thank if you share it with me!

Thank you in advance.

I'm guessing AE would do it. Mind you that's plenty of $$$.

I don't, but as you say it can be done in VP15 and, BTW, very easily in VP15 - I've just done it! 😉

Stage 1:

Stage 2:

Stage 3:

Stage 4:

As to too many Tracks, Once I got the first Set of Three it was only a matter of using Parent Track Motion and dupes and done. Took me 10->15 minutes tops. You've bought VP15. How much is AE? And you would've added to your Skill Set too. 😎

Once done, you could always reintroduce it inti the MAIN project as a Nested Single Track VegEvent - Winner-Winner Chicken-Dinner!

Nice one, Grazie!

Nice one, Grazie!

@Musicvid Thank you kind Sir. I’m always surprised, and I shouldn’t be, just how easy this stuff can be in VP. The bigger problem is just how I present it here in demonstrating what CAN be done.

Our friend here also asked on the COW. It’d be good to get some/any feedback from @oha2. Hey ho. 😊

@Grazie, it's the VISION that impresses me. You have to be able to construct the thing in your mind first in order to see how "easy" it is in Vegas. And your geometry evolved from your art, not the opposite as with me. I would be quite envious if I hadn't realized more than a decade ago that we simply live on opposite sides of the same street -- well, maybe a little envious....

Please, anyone following this discussion, please re-read Poe's analytical essay that we all read as college freshmen and promptly lost interest in, because most of us at nineteen lacked a little developmental thing called Metacognition. Poe, as clearly witnessed in his writing, was acutely aware of his and his reader's role in the process of creation. In all art, as in all science, the observer is part of the equation.

Poe was driven by creating a certain end effect, and the process he undertook to get there produced unique works that transcended both the goal and the process, and as it turns out, the author's own mortality.

Hello, sorry for answering so late. Thank you for your answers. Looks like there are no such effects, huh ?...

I produced the previous illustration picture as you said, with parent tracks etc. Out of curiosity, I wonder what Grazie's Step 2 is supposed to represent ? Unless you did it with 3D, you should get something like this with usual motion tracking ?

Thank you in advance.

IMHO, Vegas Pro can do almost anything except handle 3D objects. It is just being creative with the tools it has available. I didn't try to create the effect entirely, but it didn't seem hard to do. Track Motion would give you the working space to organize everything and as mentioned, if you duplicate the tracks, it goes pretty fast. Also, the Masking tool could be used for the initial image and to create a whole in the middle if that's what you want.
