Vegas Pro 17 or 16
Hi, I'm using stills on the timeline and I'd like to make each still the same duration. Is there a way I can select a single still (event) and apply the duration of that still to all of the subsequent events?

One option would be to select all of the events you want to change in the edit details windows and then change the length field. I keep the edit details window with length field open at all times for the purpose of both seeing the length of a selected event and changing one or more items to a specific length.
You can set in Options>Preferences>Editing tab
but this only works for 'new' still put into timeline.
Else scripts are your friend.
Besides of scripting (I personally zero on scripting), my little bit 'manual' but 'easy' way is make a temporary 'rule' by right click on empty timeline> 'Insert Empty Event', set this empty event clip to desired length, then match your stills' event length to this empty event reference clip.
Of course you need to adjust lengths of each clip one by one.
In 17 I use a lot for a few or more stills that are on the same location the new tool of the Insert menu: Slideshow.
All settings can be made in advance.
Before Pro had that option I always used the same as .vf insert from VMS Pl in VPro
Even easier, here's a little script with a simple UI that can set the length of selected or all events with an option to auto ripple to close the gaps that are created.

At the moment, only the Magix version is available. If there is any interest, a Sony version can also be compiled.
