Edit video then render as original format?

Hello all,

I have a 3.9gb video file that I need to trim a little out of, and then ideally render it as the same format / spec.

I've tried this a couple of times and ended up with a file edited as I'd like, but twice as big as the original, when I'm hoping to shave a little off the size, by removing the unneeded content.

Here's the details from Mediainfo, if anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks a lot.

You can do this, but Vegas will re-encode.

The no-re-encode solution is VideoRedo.

If you have Vegasaur installed you could use its smart trim feature to get it done within Vegas Pro.
