If you will be specific about the issues you are having, someone may be able to help.

Vegas Pro 15 does not support egpu to my knowledge.

There are endless comments and reviews on the net regarding the incompatibility with vegas and AMD chips, there are also some workaround tutorials on YouTube, disabling GPU acceleration, setting dram to 0, task manager details and removing one of the cpu cores through affinity, holding down the shift key whilst clicking preferences in vegas and setting the multi core encoder to false. Nothing seems to work other than just slow vegas down to a crawl. preview is almost impossible to view whilst editing in 4K, render then creates black screens, it hangs (no crash report) whilst rendering at about 3/4 of a 4min video (tried rendering different videos) i render using the magix 4k settings. My PC specs are 16gb DDR4 ram, 8th gen i7, AMD 8705g chip with a SSD drive. I never had any problems on my old laptop with a 2gb Nvidia chip (albeit it was dog slow) There are plenty of other video editing programmes i can use which will run better on my laptop than Vegas but i have been using Vegas for the past 10 years and do like it. Which is why i am curious about getting a egpu with a nvidia 1080 card but i cannot find any reviews or evidence on the web that this egpu will some my problems at a cost of £700 for a egpu, i need to be sure of what i am buying will work.
