Hey there - first time posting here.

I'm getting an error message when trying to capture a video using my Zoom Q8 camera.

After I'm done recording and hit stop, the the box comes up and then I hit Done. Then this error message comes up:

ObviouslyI you can't post Vegas properties, but MediaInfo should provide some clues.

I'm seeing this exception error allot and although I don't know what the fix is nor can I find it, I do realize that Vidcap 6.0 is a 32 bit operation that uses 32 bit windows library. I am certain that has allot to do with it. So regardless of whether you are using a 64 bit solution, THAT process occurs in a 32 bit framework.

I love Vegas, been using it since it was Sonic Foundry but if I can't get reliable output, I'll have to use something else. BTW., to make sure it wasn't anything related to hardware. I recorded in another program 4K(true) at 60fps with no exception throwing.

I'm using Vegas 17 pro. Any help would be awesome.

Is that using USB to capture?

The Zoom Q8 does not have a 1394 Firewire Port.

Therefore, you cannot capture from the Zoom Q8 using Vegas Vidcap.

Thanks for the posts, guys. I'm just recording directly to my laptop and importing those files to the program when needed.
