Vegas Pro can create an edl that is only partially compatible with PP and fcpx.

So if Movie Studio cannot produce an EDL, the only solution is to import its files to Vegas Pro -- is that the case? t

I believe that movie studo project file (.vf) still open natively in Vegas Pro, have you tried the VP15 trial?

I also believe that you may be disappointed trying to use Vegas Pro edl projects in Adobe, avid, or fcp. Each product has its own proprietary filters, and alignment thereof is more miss than hit.

That's why many of our commercial users prefer to hand off lossless digital intermediates across platforms and editors. There are incompatibilities there as well, so search and read the forum discussions carefully.

Thanks, Musicvid, I guess that sinks some plans of mine.... (Meanwhile, could you help resolve my other posting about how to generate/place burn-in timecode ?) appreciated
