Exporting Closed Caption for DVDA

I have a 1:15:00 Movie that has subtitles, it's an SRT file. DVDA 6.0 won't read it, Vegas reads it but it has some html nonsense but it will load up and be in Sync in V19. I have tried importing from a trial version of Vegasaur and that works great as far as getting the html stuff cleaned up but the trial only allows for 40 subtitle events. I will gladly buy Vegasaur if I can get over the one issue I'm having. To export a DVDA usable SRT file from Vegas, afaict, you use the script Export Closed Caption for DVDA, when I try that, nothing gets saved. I figured out from a previous discussion here that I need to have a CC track or a Command C marker (not that familiar with those), but I have been playing around with them and creating those markers does allow me to do the Export and that file is read by DVDA but the text is only on the screen for a second and goes away, but it does look like it's in sync. Seems like I'm close but I could really use some guidance if anyone has any to offer. Thanks.

Unfortunately Vegas is still pretty poor when it comes to working with subtitles. Vegasaur is the best and most complete tool that exists to work professionally with subtitles in Vegas.

See in the my screen record bellow how easy it is to solve your problem using Vegasaur.

Thanks so much. I will give it a go.

Thanks, again Joelson_Forte. I watched your video, so easy, I just missed the export option right in Vegasaur. Did a quick test exporting, came right in to DVDA, so I bought Vegasaur and finished the whole project. Worked great. Really appreciate the concise help.

Might better show your appreciation by giving Joelson the credit for the solution, rather than yourself. Just a thought...

Oops. Wasn't aware of that. Hopefully that fixed it.

It did.
