First opening after downloading to new laptop software hangs

I have a new laptop and reinstalling Studio and at new open the software hangs at Version 10.0 (Build 179) Initialzing Directx plug-in .....

You have a rogue DirectX plugin from another application that is conflicting.

You will have to sniff it out and rename it, sorry we can't tell you where.

But you can type DXDiag into a Windows Search bar.

Thanks, I have got the Vegas to run by removing external hard drives and doing the first run. which appears to have worked for me.
