Green screen problems

I use Vegas pro 15 on windows 10. I have a problem with the green screen. When I use Chroma Keyer to remove a green screen (the green screen is totally solid green and is the same colour everywhere), a little part of the green screen remains. It doesn't behave normally and it is generally really weird. I can not remove it. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Yes. Light your screen perfectly evenly.

I'm working with Green Screen right now myself and having mostly good results from the Vegas Chroma Keyer. There are many videos on how to get best results -- mostly this involves "EVEN" lighting of the green screen. The lighting may LOOK even to your eye but the camera is more sensitive.

I rigged 4' daylight shop lights vertically on stands to light my green screen. One on each side. That seems to work fairly well for EVEN lighting.

Can you post a pic of the problem?

It is very possible you haven't made the proper adjustments too. When you are using the Chroma Keyer in Vegas, be sure to click on SHOW MASK ONLY, and then adjust your sliders so the object you're masking is as white as possible. Once that's done, then click it off. If it's not the sliders, then yes, it could be your green screen footage is unevenly lit and that would take more work to get rid of depending on the shot exactly. Here's a video that shows what I'm talking about.
