HAP Q Codec

I have been using this After Effects export plugin called AfterCodecs it has allowed me to output high quality renders fairly quickly, one of the export options is one I had not heard of before HAP Q. This codec seems like it would be a good fit for Vegas 14

Here is the info on it

An open-source, OpenGL, QuickTime-dependent Codec is unlikely to see its way into Vegas anytime soon. The trend is away from accelerated software codecs and toward hardware encoders (QuickSync, NVENC) taking us full circle in the past 25 years

Hello,

I am the creator of AfterCodecs mentioned.

HAP is not QuickTime-dependent but is based on the MOV Quicktime format, a standard unlikely to "die". It is based on OpenGL and produces huge files, it would only be a good fit for Vegas if the internal vfx pipeline ispurely deals with images in GPU textures already, otherwise I'm not sure this would bring good performances. That is why it is used mainly in live video projection software as of now.
