How did you capture the footage?

Most methods do not offer tbc.

I used a vcr and a 'vidbox' capture device. The vcr I have is a Magnavox that has a vhs and dvd combined. And what is tbc?

Before I answer, do your camcorder and computer have 1394 firewire ports?

You won't fix it with analog and usb capture devices.

Type "1394 firewire" into a Google search. Then click "Images" in the header bar. Then see if your camcorder has such a port. If "yes," post back for further guidance. If not, you may have to live with it.

Your analog capture device does not have time base correction (tbc), which would seem necessary to improve your capture quality from old tapes.
