How to fix overexposed video footage

Is there any possibility to correct overexposed footage in my videp? Do not find any answers in the Help contents. You tube show only Adobe Premier Pro, which seems to have this function. Anything like that in Our Vegas Movie Studio?

Although that post is in the Vegas Pro forum, the recommendation is to use the Invert and Levels FX (which are available in VMS) in the chain Invert > Levels > Invert, and adjust the Gamma in Levels (see John_Cline's post).
