Assuming you are referring to the Vegas UI and not a secondary picture monitor. You can try "Options> Preferences> Display> Disable high DPI scaling" but I cannot see it does anything... at least in VP-16 on my laptop (Dell XPS 9550 w/ GeForce 960M graphics card

You can also try: right-click of the VP's <.exe> file (or a shortcut to it) and click "Properties> Compatibility> Change hIgh DPI settings>> and check-mark 'Override high DPI scaling behavior, Scaling performed by:.. select "System Enhanced". You could also change the DPI in the Windows display setting. My high-res laptop is currently set at 175%, unfortunately some of the render window's settings are off-screen and require temporarily setting the DPI back some, I would experiment with all of the above in different combinations to find a 'usable' setting. This is annoying to say the least.

Set your monitor resolution at 1080p for editing and previewing.

Set it back to 4k for screening, if you wish.

Musicvid: I have tried the 1080 it helped with somethings but not others and really messes with screen real estate. I have not had to resort to any tricks to make VP 15 readable. As it stands 17 is not usable to me. I am in the trial don't know if that makes any difference.

I certainly won't be upgrading to a version that doesn't allow me to see what I am doing.

rraud: Yes the VP UI text size is horrible as installed by default; even with +2.00 readers I can't make out items in some of the sub menus or even on the main screen. I will give your suggestions a try. I can run VP15 on monitors in 4k without issue.

Vegas: Why?

As I stated, Increasing the Windows display DPI helped in my case, but having some of the menu elements off-screen that can not be scrolled sucks. I have my 3840x2160 display set to 1920x1080 with the DPI @ 175% is usable with the above annoyance.

I originally came upon the Properties>Compatibility settings in my other comment when I installed Sound Forge Pro 11, the toolbar icons were the size of pinheads and menu text was for the most part.. unreadable. These settings did not have to be changed with SF Pro 12, 13 or VP-16 with the 175% DPI. In any case it is still not a friendly environment for folks with less than perfect vision and/or hi-res monitors.

I'm running a 24" at 1080 and 125%.

Failing vision but no complaints, screen real estate or otherwise.

When I got down to trying the bolded section my issue was resolved. Thanks so much!!!
