How to make scrolling/flying text start from off-screen

John-Messeder wrote on 10/8/2020, 12:12 PM

Using Movie Studio 17 Platinum, but I've had the problem with earlier versions.

Whenever I create text that is to scroll-in/fly-in from off screen, I cannot get the start point to be offscreen. For instance,

Note the first text is visible before it does the fly-in.

I have tried to make it not do that, without any luck

Try the pan/crop function with masking.

If this is what you want

It is made with VMS17 Pl and "Text and Titles/ Fly in" in combination with Pan/Crop with keyframes. If you want to stop the movement you can cut the textfile and enlarge it a bit with your last choosen frame.

Just move the text box in the preview screen for the start point to the right till don't see any text.
