I bought the last offer "limited-edition iZotope Holiday Bundle", which includes Izotop RX8 Elements.
I have to say that I haven't really done much with it, especially because - when I wanted to clean up background noises such as street noise and wind noise from video scenes - I was stopped with the following message:

Question:
I don't really want to buy RX8 Advanced.
Is there a practicable workflow how I can edit the MTS-files of my Sony FDR-AX53 with RX8 Elements?
It would be nice if it worked with the function "Open copy in the audio-editor" - but even if you assign RX8 Elements as your preferred audio editor (of course) the same error message comes up.....

The package also included Ozone 9 Elements, Nectar 3 Elements, Neutron 3 Elements and Trash 2 Elements.
I also have Soundforge Pro 14, and - I don't really (yet) know much about sound editing.

I haven't experienced that yet, but I was aware of paywalls in RX8 Elements.

Elements does not work on poly files with more than two-channels.

Convert the audio event(s) to single mono (or stereo). Duplicate and select the events' channels

I was so afraid of that - but that's the way it is.
