JPeg Images creating issue

chandan-prakash wrote on 8/23/2018, 6:10 PM

Hi,

Please look at the video link below. i have rendered it using Movie studio version 15, with Magix HEVC option (Nvidia). i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1050Ti card )with integrated Intel in my laptop. Hard disk has ample space. SDD.

Also, image attached shown the NLE. just few videos and few jpeg images. Lot of artifects appear, Digtal noise, Blocks, images start going back and forth.. in one of my other videos which is 45 minutes long, this issue has wreaked havoc for me. Hence to show the problem, i have tried to replicate the issue.

LInk:

at between 00:12 and 00:19. you will notice that the image is shown once, then new image comes up but after less than 2 seconds, previous image is shown again.. followed by digital blocks...

Again between 00:55 to 00:58 and then again between 01:05 and 01:10.. same thing happens.

I got same issue when i used MP4 Magix 4k codec (nvidia).

Any idea, what is going on?

Try rendering without using the nvidia option.

I suspect a problem with the Dynamic RAM Review here. Obviously, it is accessing wrong frames that were previously cached.
For rendering, set the Dynamic RAM Preview value to 0 so it will not be used.

I assume that the project properties match the source material and the events are quantized to frames.

Tried by using Intel HEVC option. it took 26 minutes for 1 every 1 minute video rendering. NO issue reported. video came clean.

Regarding Dynamic RAM. it is already set to 0.

When I bought my laptop after paying so much of money, I had never imagined that NVIDIA would be a scary word, to be avoided at all cost. :-(

Any other thought would be much appreciated..

Update:

I downloaded TRIAL version of vegas pro 16.  I got SAME problem with MAgix code HEVC for NVIDIA. However when I used Magix HEVC code with Intel QSV, video came out Clean.. without any issue.

So this proves that how Vegas handles NVIDIA 1050Ti card is at fault.  it is clearly advertised that Vegas movie studio 15 supports NVIDIA 10XX cards but that is not the case here, quite clearly..

I also got reply official reply from MAgix and they suggested me to change the preset setting to BEST. Really???

There are ppl here who can give you their experience with your card and driver version.

Hardware Acceleration, in its entirety, is YMMV. That's the only guarantee you'll find here.

Here no problem at all, drivers of Nvidia and Intel 630 and the Windows updates are the newest.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Vegas should take care of any version of driver for those cards that it supports ( or claims to support ). Process of Software/driver upates is a standard practice and is always considered ( and tested ) by any products that have dependency on them.

By the way, which is the Nvidia card do you have? and what is the version number of the driver that you have? Also, whats the version number of intel 630?

In my case, Nvidia gtx 1050Ti has 391.35 as driver version. for intel, its 22.20.16.4836. Windows 10 is also very latest.

My Nvidia card is stated in the video and is the Geforce GTX 1050 Ti with driverversion 24.21.13.9793

Also, whats the version number of intel 630?

The Intel 630 is the GPU as a part of my CPU stated in my signature with driverversion 22.20.16.6282

Hi, Thanks.

I have updated the driver: Nvidia is now at: 24.21.13.9907

Intel is at: 23.20.16.4973

Tried rendering it again but still issue is the same.

Your video is not helping because you have taken a very simple case of rendering a video. in my case ( please see the image of the timeline ) I am mixing few jpeg images with video. that is where issue comes up. All video rendering is fine so far..

I again hold a strong opinion that drivers generally do not cause any such issues ( and if they do, it gets corrected in subsequent releases ). its the implementation of APIs from Nvidia in Vegas that is at fault..

I''n not making another video with also a lot of jpegs, but with me that also is not a problem. I often insert complete slideshows in my video's with plenty jpegs.

Maybe it helps for you to lower the dimensions of your pictures with a factor 2 or 3. You don't need pictures of 5184x3888 for a HD project.

Fair enough. I can def give it a try but my earlier 4k Projects worked ok, with slightly inferior Laptop spec, lowe version of Vegas (13 ) and video and photos from same camera. high resolution of photos are fine even when i use Intel QSV to process but with Nvidia option to render, things fall part..
