Lectures video rendering for Youtube

Paaz wrote on 6/11/2018, 8:14 PM

Hello friends
I create lecture videos using Canon 70D. The background is still and the only thing moving is me. I also have no music, just my voice.
I'm looking to render at 720p for youtube (can't imagine anyone watching a lecture at higher res than 720)
What would be the best rendering settings for youtube (for best rendering time, without loosing noticeable quality)

Thanx for the help

What version of Vegas Pro are you using?

What are your system specs, in particular your CPU and GPU?

There is a post here about maximizing quality of AVC rendering. It's not been updated for VP15 and it doesn't take speed into account.

Preserving quality is probably not going to be an issue.

A talking head can tolerate lower bitrates than any of us would even consider using. It's a benefit of having interframe compression. So the answer for me is 720p internet template.

I'm using Vegas 15 - I7-8400 with Geforce GTX 1050Ti

The source is a Canon 70D - output Youtube

the link to youtube instructions don't help as there is no H.264 encoder in vegas, and I don't know how to translate the requirements to the "render as" page in vegas

Magix, Sony, Mainconcept AVC Encoders are .h264 by definition.

Use the 720p Internet template to render for YouTube. Post back if you have questions after using this tried and true solution. It's well beyond enough for a talking head

Oh, and do post the properties Nick requested from you.

A little more homework and less speculation goes a long way...
