Low quality still images

Hello everyone!

How do you preserve the resolution of a PNG image after rendering on Vegas Pro?

For example, I have a 7148*3823 PNG that if I zoom (Pan & Crop for example) in on any image viewer the details are clear, and the image conserves a decent quality. But when I try to use the image on Vegas Pro with a zoom out effect the quality is highly degraded and the image looks blurry after rendering. The project is in 1080p but to me does not makes sense because if I crop to 1920*1080 on any other software the quality is preserved. For example, when you load a big image to a 1920*1080 project on an image editor (i.e. Photoshop, Affinity Photo etc.) you work with the original image. Even if you crop you keep the original quality. To me, it seems that when I add the image to the timeline, Vegas converts it to 1920x1080 and I'm working with a lower quality image.

Any suggestions?

Go to Preferences/Video (tab) and make sure that the 'Adjust source media to better match project or render settings' is not checked.

How exactly are you "zooming out?" Are you using Track Motion, Event Pan/Crop, or an FX?

If you want to see that format also back after rendering that still image, first set your projectsettings to match your type of source-file by this button

Is this done on a media image by image basis? There's no project-wide setting to maintain media properties? Also, how would I reverse this setting on a particular still-image if it produced undesirable effects?

@Den24601
I think it is better not to break-in to someone others post with a question. Make your own post at this forum.

Thank you Dexcon! That solved the issue.

I tried with both Pan/Crop and FX.
